Why did you pick this product vs others?:Holds well without looking like Varathane, and washes out.

A little expensive but worth it. I would alternate between this and old spice but old spice stopped making the one I like. I decided to try the axe hair wax and it was no good, so I tried the new old spice hair wax, also no good. They made my hair look wet and the hold was not good. This stuff is good, keeps my hair looking natural and holds all day.

A bit of context: I have what is more or less an undercut - pretty short on the sides (size 1 or under clipper usually) and a bit longer on top (1-1.5"). I usually cut my own hair or have a friend cut it for me so I'm not sure on specifics.This product is exactly as it claims - low shine, medium hold. It's very workable even throughout the day which I appreciate a lot. Doesn't make my hair look greasy, and it feels as good as you can hope hair with product in it will feel. The smell is incredible, too!I haven't used it for awhile as I've since adopted nopoo and had no need for it, but whenever I do end up washing my hair I'll usually use this for about a week after until the oils in my hair build back up. I almost miss having my hair smell so wonderfully.Great product, will absolutely use and recommend to all friends.

Smells good and works great

My husband really likes this hair paste—it gives a strong hold without looking stiff or greasy. It’s easy to apply, lasts all day, and smells great too. His hair looks styled but still natural. A solid pick for everyday use!

Great product!!

I use this to style my quiff hair. I towel dry, then apply this, then use the blow dryer. After my hair is dry and set, I use a basic hair spray to set in place. This is the best that I know of to define my hair and get volume. Coupled with a good hair blow dryer, this is the best. I have thin hair and yet this gets just the right lift, while not looking wet. It looks natural. It isn't the strongest, it isn't wax, and does not hold super firm. It keeps your hair fairly natural, and even running your hand through your hair feels good.If there's any criticism I have, it's that you have to work the paste into your hand until you can barely see it. Then put it in your hair. Failure to do this may leave white streaks in your hair.Oh, and, availability for this has been spotty as of late. Don't wait too long to pull the trigger on this if it's in stock.

I don't have an issue with the scent as others have. I think it smells clean and fresh but scent can be subjective. The product was easy to warm up in the hands and apply. But I have a problem with the lack of hold. This is more like a light to no hold. Hair goes flat after about an hour. Also, the product turns flaky and so it looks like you have dust or bugs in your hair. The Fiber product is much better than this. I think Suavecito is best if you have medium length hair and can comb it back.
