I am so glad I purchased this filter jug, it is a perfect fit for my fridge door, light enough to lift, very easy to fill/top up, and the filtration is great, I love the fact that paired with my new Breville hot water dispenser, I am now getting a very tasty cup of tea, without all the rubbish that comes with unfiltered water, and as the limescale has damaged my previous Breville one cup, I am so happy with my recent purchase. Can recommend this without a doubt. Loved the speedy delivery too.

Great jug good fit in the fridge door

Fits in the door of the fridge, not too heavy and pours well. Lid fits well and has easy access to the tap. Have only been using it for two weeks so can't comment more. Good to have cold, good tasting water all the time though.

I live in a hard water area where drinking tap water is the norm. I had to stop drinking tap water because it tasted bitter and had to resort to buying bottled mineral water. Then, I saw the reviews for this Water Filter Jug and thought to give it a try. The taste of the water has completely changed, almost tasting like bottled spring water and the appearance of the filtered water is crystal clear with all the impurities removed. This saves a lot of effort and money overall.

Great filter jug, great price and fast delivery

I live in the Thames Water area and therefore get hard water from my tap. It leaves amazing levels of calcium and magnesium carbonate behind when it dries out around my sinks and basins etc., and when making drinks like tea produces a 'scum' that floats on the surface. I have been drinking black coffee more than tea, probably as a result of this, and thought getting a water filter would cut the impact of the hard water in my drinking water. And it does just that! Simple to set up – far less bother than the Brita filter I owned back in the '90s – and the water tastes 'sweeter'. Not literally sweet but more pleasant and palatable than straight from the tap. For that reason, plus possible health benefits, I strongly recommend it. Anything that could get me drinking more water and improve the quality of my tea is very welcome. But, one proviso. I thought the softer water it produces would improve the flavour of my coffee. But it doesn't – after a bit of research and consulting with Professor Google, it seems that hard water extracts better flavour from ground coffee. So I would not recommend one for improving your filtered fresh coffee.

INTRODUZIONE: Ho deciso di acquistare la brocca filtrante Brita per ridurre l'impatto ambientale delle bottiglie di plastica e per risparmiare sull'acquisto di acqua confezionata. Dopo qualche settimana di utilizzo, posso dire che è stata una scelta vincente. DESIGN: La brocca ha un design compatto che si adatta perfettamente al frigorifero. L'apertura nella parte superiore è un grande vantaggio, perché facilita il riempimento senza dover rimuovere il coperchio. Inoltre, la brocca non è molto grande, il che la rende leggera e maneggevole anche quando è completamente piena. DURATA: L'utilizzo è molto semplice: basta riempire la parte superiore, attendere pochi minuti e l'acqua filtrata è pronta. La sostituzione del filtro è intuitiva e il display sul coperchio aiuta a tenere traccia del momento giusto per cambiarlo. La durata del filtro è di un mese circa. SAPORE: Temevo che il sapore fosse diverso rispetto a quello a cui ero abituata dell'acqua che acquistavo al supermercato, invece il sapore è identico. Non ho notato alcuna differenza e soprattutto non rimane né odore né sapore di "rubinetto". CONCLUSIONE: Lo consiglio sia per una questione di praticità che per una questione di risparmio di plastica. Oltretutto si risparmia anche a livello economico perché il filtro costa solo 5 euro al mese.
