You do definitely get a bit of that bitter pure caffeine taste if you're familiar, but the mint flavor helps a lot to counteract it and for me personally I kind of love it. I usually get these like once a year and just use them for a week before I get into work. In the long term I don't recommend them if you actually enjoy caffeinated beverages, I find myself still wanting to stick to my routine of drinking coffee or an energy drink at work so it kind of spoils that unless I want WAY too much energy.

Awful taste. Taste like pure caffeine with a touch of wintergreen flavor. It's been 30 minutes and I still have that awful taste in my mouth.

I'm torn on these because they work but I hate the taste. I took one about 40 minutes before starting work and in that time I was fully awake and alert. That energy carried for a few hours and absolutely no jitters. What I have a hard time with is the flavor; They taste awful. The first one I had I chewed and that was a big mistake so don't chew these at all. The second one I just let melt and it was better but there's a strong bitter flavor with a very slight minty-ness behind it. I'll continue to take them but I don't think I can palette another order.
