Panther Armor Cat Furniture Protector, 18 Clear Sheets with Twist Pins

These things are fantastic. My cats were scratching my sofa, so I ordered these and stuck them on, no scratching! So far so good.

I was a bit wary about how this would look on my furniture, but now my only regret is not buying it sooner. The matte really makes it look almost transparent. The barrier is a solid shield for the kitties who have soon lost interest in scratching the couch. I ended up using it in other pieces of furniture as well. The twist pins attract their interest but don't come out when they bite on it precisely because they're twist. Great product! Would purchase again!

This item is the single-side sticky, which means there is a sticky side that attaches to the furniture and a non-sticky side that is on the outside. I had to remove 1 star for not adhering to some areas of the sofa and for the use of the pins sometimes not being to twist in all the way due to the construction of the sofa. Compared with the double sticky version: I first purchased the double-sticky and it was AWESOME. Super sticky and never came off my furniture. My cat hated it and it was on my sofa for over 1 year before I removed them. Everywhere that didn't have the sticker or was against the wall was scratched. The reason I didn't get the double-sticky again was because it would attract all kinds of dust and fur. I would also accidently rub against the sticky or accidently put items near the sofa in contact with the sticky. It also did look kind of gross after awhile .. and I thought the matte would be better since I could avoid that issue. About the one-side sticky: Now.. the problem here and I don't know why is some of the pieces just don't stick. I tried putting it on the back of my sofa (same fabric) but it just kind of comes off at the corners then slowly peels into a spiral. In this case, you NEED the pins because it's the only thing that will keep it in there. Now, the pins are a twist so you have to twist them in. Sometimes it would be so close to the wood fame/inner construction that the pin couldn't twist in all the way. I DO think they need to twist in order to stay secure so they won't just be push pins and fall out, becoming a hazard. Oddly enough, they stuck to the sides of my sofa beautifully and have not peeled off AT ALL! I think it kind of depends on where you put these. I highly recommend doing a test period overnight to see where they might peel off before putting the sofa in the final location. Overall use: My cat isn't scratching the sofa. You don't need to cover every inch, just the majority or how they would bend or stretch to scratch at a comfortable angle. The pre-cut sizes were perfect. The matte was just what I wanted: No double-sticky and doesn't catch the sun and gloss over like a mirror. The matte just leaves a little cloudy look over the color of my furniture and it doesn't look bad, kind of like a somewhat lighter area of the sofa. Some people honestly don't even notice it until you point it out. Whether you go with the double-sided or single-sided I do like this company. If you're looking for ones that STICK and don't care about it being sticky on both sides, I would recommend the double-sided sticky. These are high quality and come packaged really well and are easy to put on.

I bought these hoping to keep my cat from clawing at my new couch. She was tempted & I had to chase her a few times. We used this product along the back and around corners. Since it was put on there, she hasn't once tried to claw on it. So I'm considering that a big win. I ordered more to use on some other areas that it says it will work (the wooden windowsills) to keep her from clawing there. It was easy for us to apply.

I bought the Panther Armor furniture protectors after my cats decided my couch was their personal scratching post, and I am genuinely amazed at how effective these are. They’re 100% clear, so once they’re on, you barely notice them — but my cats definitely do. The scratching stopped immediately. The sheets are sturdy but flexible, easy to cut to the exact size I needed, and I didn't even need to use the twist pins. The protector sheets stay exactly where I put them. I also love that the pack comes with multiple sizes, so I could protect several areas at once. Installation was quick, the material is tough, and after a year of use, the protectors still look brand‑new. My couch is safe, my cats are happy, and I’m thrilled. If you’re dealing with persistent scratching, these are absolutely worth it. I just ordered a second set for my new recliner. Special little bonus... you get two adorable stickers in the package!

Initially they stuck to my furniture, but it’s been less than a week & they are starting to come off. I don’t want to use the screws because they will create holes in my furniture. They are working to keep the cat from scratching, but I think they are going to fall off soon.

These Panther Armor Cat Furniture Protectors are super easy to use and apply. They are actually a bit heavier than I expected, which is great because it creates a solid barrier that completely keeps kitty claws from digging into the couch. The included twist pins help keep everything securely in place. Excellent quality and a must-have if you have cats!

Mix a 10 year-old cat set in her ways and one four month old kitten and you have the perfect recipe for getting your brand new couch scratched up both high and low. I tried some temporary blocks to the scratching but they quickly fell off. Then I ordered this. First, it is substantially thicker than I had expected and it sticks on nicely without sagging or gapping. Very easy to wrap around. Second, in addition to its stickiness, it comes with small curly pins for screwing into the couch to hold it in even more firmly at the corners (or you could put them wherever the cat seems to want to scratch the most. I was on the fence about installing them, but we did and they are really helpful. Third, installation is easy because the clear sticky plastic comes with a background so it’s easy to cut straight lines so it looks neat and tidy. I am very very happy with this purchase and I have had zero scratching since it was installed about a month ago. It is sticking on nicely, and if I said, those little curly pins (you just poke a small hole with one end and twist it in) provide added protection.

Despite the 4 large scratching stations in our home, our kitty still insists in digging her claws into EVERYTHING, from the couches to our T-shirts. This Panther Armor works so well that our kitty is starting to find new areas to scratch, even if she has to get into funny positions to do so (I'd attach a video, but our Amazon region doesn't have that option to do so). The only reason that I couldn't give a 5 star rating is that the pins that come with the Panther Armor can't be used if the fabric your trying to protect is covering the couch frame, in which you'd have to rely on the Armor's adhesive coating. It's good, but after about 3 months, I noticed one of the panels starting to peel off (I put the Armor covers all over our home). If we had another option than the supplied pins to keep things in place, it would be 5 stars all the way. Still, SUPER recommended. If you want the sides of your couches to last, slap some Panther Armor on them.
