Review: Great for eggs, and really inexpensive. Even if that's all you buy it for, it's a winner. - First of all, this was made in China for those who want to buy American. Having said that, this pan is great. To be clear, I've only used it once, and will update if anything changes. I was using a Hexclad pan to cook eggs, disappointed as the eggs always stick to the pan. This pan is just the opposite. I scrambled eggs, nothing stuck, cleanup was all of 20 seconds. Quick wipe with a soapy sponge was all that was needed. The pan comes with the handle unattached, takes less than a minute to attach it with a screwdriver they supply along with the pan. (And it's a good functional screwdriver.) Bottom line, the pan is very inexpensive. I got the 8" version which is perfect for eggs/omelets. The pan is a little bit deeper than I expected which I find a great feature. And the glass lid from my Hexclad pan fits reasonably well, so that is another plus.

**Q: Left for an appointment, came back to find my boyfriend had cut his steak in my pan! Is there anyway to repair this?**
A: You cannot repair the boyfriend, but a new pan is cheaper and will last longer.

**Q: PTFE free?**
A: This product likely has PTFE. Teflon was DuPonts brand name for PTFE. When their patents expired, many companies chose different names for PTFE. PFOA was originally used to manufacture PTFE but now it’s illegal to sell PFOA in the US, so manufacturers replaced it with something else from a similar PFOA family that can carry similar health issues. In virtually all cases when manufacturers claim something is PFOA free, it means the nonstick product is PTFE. (Especially when the manufacturer doesn’t publish it). **Q: Handle comes loose - it's almost as if the screw just reaches but won't 'set' in the bracket.  anyone else?  solution?  otherwise i love the skillet.**
A: I have 2 pans, haven't had that problem, there fairly new. Sounds like there might have been another piece behind the bracket?  I would take the screw to Home Depot or Lowe's and tell them you want the same screw 1/8 to 1/4 inch longer and see if that works.  I have done that with older pots and it works and for .99cents it's worth trying.  An old hangman told me 40+ years ago "Never pick up a pot or pan with something in them, another pot, dishes, etc. by the handle." Went through several pots and pans until his advise sunk in..

**Q: Does this lose its non-stick ability? Popular pans I've tried in the past have.**
A: ive had mine for a little over a year and it has started to lose its non stick ability even when i use spray/butter or oil.

I purchased this larger frying pan because High bought the 8 inch version last year and I absolutely love it! Nothing is better for eggs! They slide out of the pan with minimal use of oil or butter. You could literally put half a teaspoon of oil in the pan so there’s the thinnest possible layer on the bottom, and your food won’t stick. There’s also helps. Avoid the super sticky brown residue that accumulates on frying pans from heated fats. Thus, these pants are so easy to clean! I don’t put mine in the dishwasher, so I don’t know how the nonstick surface would hold up for someone who doesn’t hand wash. Interestingly, you receive the body of the skillet, the detached wood handle and a very nice solid Phillips head screwdriver to install the handle! It’s a little bonus!
