Wiley Wallaby 8 Ounce Allsorts Gourmet Australian Style Soft & Chewy Assorted Licorice Candy (1 Pack)

These are fresh, soft and tasteful - but they are not anything like the licorice allsorts of the 70s and 80s, so I was a little disappointed, really wanting to reminisce with my childhood - these are a light flavor, can't really taste a strong licorice, the candy is rather wet/gummy - texture of a gummy worm - and far different than what it used to be back then, in the 70s and early 80s, they were a larger square, tiny bit harder and a very light powdered sugar coating to keep them from sticking together, slightly sweeter with very strong licorice/anise taste. These are nothing like that. Completely different candy. Understand this if you want to buy them simply to remember the 70s. But if you want a light snack after a meal, these are just fine. I won't be buying this brand again unless they adopted the same strong licorice flavor and texture.

Soft. Delicious. And oh, so addictive.

These are fresh and tasty. They come in lovely colors, there's a massive amount of variety. my favorites are the layered pink, white and round blues. Seems like more than 8 oz. I'll keep ordering them as long as they're available. They really satisfy my sweet tooth and craving for liquorice. IMHO the best of the "Australian" liquotice.

I like black licorice. I like the Allsorts I have when I'm with family in Canada. I like the Allsorts I have when I'm in the UK. I like (I actually really like) Wiley Wallaby black licorice. I have no idea what this is. Tastes like bubble gum. Had a handful and gave them to my family, who hate black licorice figuring these had nothing to do with licorice. Well, they don't like them either. Maybe these appeal to someone's tastebuds, but not mine. And it would be hard to believe you'd like black licorice, buy these, and say "Hey, these are the best Allsorts I've ever had!"UPDATE: Seller contacted me to understand the issue. Exemplary customer service. Not sure how they good have done it any better. While I won't personally order the Allsorts again, their black licorice is fantastic. They offered to replace my allsorts order with black licorice (or a refund). I took the black licorice. I'd not hesitate to deal with seller again. Rare these days. I'm not sure how to update the star rating. While I don't much like the flavour and don't want to give the impression that these are 5 star for their taste, that is admittedly somewhat personal. But I will upgrade from 2 stars to 4 to reflect that I don't know how they could have handled this any better. All in, pretty great experience. Thanks guys!

I was craving licorice and couldn't find it in stores around me other than the twizlers which I don't like. These are very tasty. They are also very sweet but the just plain licorice pieces are my favorite. Will be buying more.
