They are my go to needles. Shmetz.
These days I always buy shmetz, I have bought others in the past only to find they are all inferior. These are strong, rarely bend or break, and stitch well. These are part of a gift and I want my student to have the best.

I prefer to shop local when I can but our local shops can be pricey and with inflation I can’t always keep up. These work great with my brother embroidery machine. Good quality and value.

This is a great needle for a particular application: * Light Ball Point for just the right balance between being a ball-point so that it is less likely to break the threads of the fabric being sewn on, but still a sharp enough point to glide through easily. * A slightly enlarged eye, so that your embroidery thread can pass through without damage to your thread. If you have very fragile thread or metallic thread (a thin flat tape shaped thread) then move to the Metallic needle that has an even larger eye. *Also, if you are working with clear thread, that does not flex easily, having an enlarged eye may help your machine to stop skipping stitches. It works for me!
