Very easy to use.
Had no instructions for assembly so it took me a bit to figure it out, but once I got them put together and at the right height they worked perfectly. Great grip on top and bottom and can be put up very quickly. Also used it laying down for a sliding door and it worked well for that too.

It's good, but why no instructions?
I've been 'toughening' my home recently and wanted these bars to secure my front door and my sliding glass door. They are made from relatively heavy gauge steel and give a sense of solidity. However, some assembly is required and it's not as simple as you might expect. It's not THAT hard to figure it out but when first opening the packaging you are faced with an assortment of unidentified parts with no assembly instructions., absolutely nothing, so you need to carefully examine the contents and through a little trial and error the solution becomes kinda obvious. I would prefer to not have to experiment to assemble them. However, once you figure it out what you have is a height-adjustable 'prop' with a cut-out at one end that fits under the interior door handle and a non-slip base that holds it in place on the floor. You may have to experiment a bit further to determine the right length to set the bar for your door. It's easy to do.The second bar I just set to the correct length for my sliding glass door so it wedges between the bottom of the other panel and the handle of the panel you are securing. Simple.I tested the inward operating door by trying to open it from the outside while it was unlocked, and I couldn't move the door, at all, so this product works. Whether it would stop a door from being shoulder-charged or kicked in is another matter and I don't want to test it out!So, this is a good product, once you work it out. Simple instructions need to be included so I'm knocking one star off for their omission.

A less expensive model and you get what you pay for!
Great concept/invention. Works well on wooden and carpeted floors. But one section seems mismatched in diameter and gives unit a somewhat flimsy feel after adjusting bar for height from floor to door handle. It works (in keeping the door from opening inward) but requires a generous kick into the lower one third of the bar to ‘make it stick’.

Adjustable door security bar door jammer
There's been some reports of unfortunate activity in my neighborhood so I figured I would give this door security bar a try. I was glad this came as a set of 2 but that seems to be the only pro of this product. Being new to this type of device, it took longer than it probably should have to assemble these bars as there were no instructions included. I found several videos online of similar door bars but mostly all of them were already put together and just had to be height adjusted and the pins were preinstalled to just pop out to secure the height. These security bars came in 3 separate pieces with the rubber feet, rubber under door handle part, and the pins all separated. There's no arrows on the bars for directional purposes. The pins don't feel secure when in place in the bar holes as the only thing that "pops out" on the other side to keep it in place through the holes is a small little half a metal bead and even with that, the pin can just easily be pulled back out the hole without even having to push the bead in. Then the only thing keeping the pin from being pushed all the way through is the o-ring. While finally assembled and positioned in place and giving it a try, the top bar seems wobbly and if given enough force could probably be broken or pop out and break off the door handle. These seem like they would be better off used to secure sliding windows and doors because then the third bar wouldn't necessarily need to be used and it would just be 2 of the bars together that seem like they would be more sturdy together even with the semi weak pins.

Mostly easy to assemble, works well installed on door
Assembly is decently easy with the provided instructions, though I had some issue getting the bar inserted into the robber foot. There is enough adjustment available with the three piece design that I was able to snugly fit the security bar in the track of my sliding glass door. I have the second bar next to the front door to place for when I leave for extended weekends. It is sturdy while on the tile foyer and doesn't let the door move.

Security bar
I sent it back because it look simple but it was not simple to put it together.

Works just fine for sliding glass door. Don't need to use the rubber pieces
We got this security bar to "lock" our sliding glass door while we were out of town for several days. Now, if a thief wants to break into your house, they're going to figure out a way to do it. Having a sliding glass door usually provides an easy way to get inside, so don't think that because you buy this security bar that you're going to prevent a break in. If anything, it will prevent your local hoodlum from opening the door. If they want in, they'll just toss a brick through it and step inside. That being said, this is a decent option for a security bar. It's 3 semi-decent metal bars that slide together and are held out via metal pins that go through the holes that match up on each bar. It provides good customization on how long you want/need the bar to be to fit the length of track on your sliding door. We didn't need or try this out for blocking a regular door, however it looks like it will function similarly using the rubber ends to brace the inside of a regular door against the floor. I'm not sure how effective it would be on a hardwood floor versus a carpet, however I'm sure something is better than nothing. It helps to have a good deadbolt lock on your door to start with. I can see how this would be nice to have to prevent a home invasion through the front door or back door of your house. This package also breaks down nicely so you could travel with it and use it on a hotel room door too, providing some additional security. This option I think is probably the best, as hotel rooms can be a little sketchy on the locks and whatnot.
