My seats aren’t!** A: L1 is for leather, I think you'd need Gtechniq I1 smart fabric for upholstery seats. **Q: How would i rub this in? With a brush or a cloth?** A: You can use a microfibre cloth or a foam applicator, then allow to dry, buff any remaining residue off if needs be. **Q: Can this be used on leather covered dashboards and keep them matt and UV protected? What about ordinary vinyl lower dashboards and door cards** A: You can get vinyl cleaner that also protects. Why would you want to use leather protector? Auto Glym do some great vinyl cleaner makes it Matt too ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ease of use *by P***Y on 31 May 2026* Always good products from gtechniq ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great product easy to use *by L***Y on 18 May 2026* Easy to apply and works stain I spotted was easily removed with one wipe with a baby wipe ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good but doesn't prevent dye transfer *by E***S on 1 March 2025* I had great confidence in this product after reading the positive reviews. To be fair it did smell great and left the seat feeling smooth. When you sit you do slide in easily with very little resistance so i reckon it does work as a friction reducer thus reducing wear on bolsters etc. But unfortunately it didn't work as a stain blocker. I used this specifically because my seats are a light cream colour and i didn't want to get any dye transfer. But i had these dark brown headrests cushions for a couple of months and the dye from it transferred onto my headrests and i had to have them refinished as the stain wouldn't come off.
