Good things do, in fact, come in small packages
Disclaimer: I am a friend of the creator, but I wasn't paid or given free stuff for this review.I'd like to start off by saying I really dislike lotion and moisturizers in general. I hate feeling greasy, I don't like the way most lotion smells and I could really do without the mess. However, I found Bombay Butter exceeded my expectations on all counts. It comes in a deceptively small jar and has a pleasant rose fragrance that is natural, rather than cloying. The texture took me completely by surprise. From the look of it I thought it would be a bit like whipped cream, but it's actually a very silky paste, almost. A small amount goes on nice and light and moisturizes quite effectively. Whereas other lotions I've used feel like a layer on top of my skin, Bombay Butter seems to absorb nicely without clogging up my pores. I've been using it for four months, and it's my go-to for those times when my skin is really dry. All that being said, I highly recommend this product if you have dry skin and you want to try something different.PSA note on shelf life, since I saw some folks asking about it: I've been keeping my jar on a shelf (out of direct sunlight) for four months and haven't noticed any change in the product.

Is the jar half full or half empty?
Though the actual product met my expectations, the total quantity did not. The butter is incredibly light and has a mild fragrance which I felt was quite pleasant. Sadly, the jar I received was literally half full (or half empty). I emailed both of the owners and after two days have not received any kind of response. I also sent them photos of the jar/contents and made them aware of my concerns. My rating has more to do with the unresponsiveness of the owners and their failure to remedy the issue; not the product itself. I would recommend, but will not purchase again.

Ambrosia for the skin! Love this product!
I recently moved to the U.S. and was surprised to discover that the Californian sun doesn’t suit my skin or hair. It made my lips chapped, and my skin and hair extremely dry. I started looking for lotions and shampoos to remedy the situation. However, most of the stuff I found contained chemicals and I wanted an organic solution. That’s when I came across Bombay Butter. It arrived way earlier than the expected date which is always a good sign. I loved the simple packaging and appreciated the personal touch - a hand-written note by the owners which detailed the steps of using the product.A little truly goes a long way in the case of Bombay Butter! The best part is that I no longer have to look for multiple lotions for different parts of my body - it can be applied anywhere on the body - including hands, feet, face, lips and even hair!I like how it locks in moisture and feels soft and smooth throughout the day. I also love the smell of rose - it isn't overpowering, just a subtle hint that does the trick. I would recommend it to anyone looking for an organic solution to relieve parched skin. It’s really good!

Smells good, but sticky and doesn’t absorb.
The good: smells pleasant, the ingredients are natural. The bad: tiny amount for the price, very sticky, and doesn’t seem to absorb that well (kinda sits on top of your skin).I also found that the butter is not very spreadable, thus I will most likely use up the whole jar of this butter to moisturize my body.I also didn’t like the fact that the butter was in a cheap plastic jar. For the price, I would have expected a glass jar.In my opinion, the product is very expensive for what it is. Wouldn’t recommend.

Wow this is my favorite body cream ever
Wow this is my favorite body cream ever, so glad I ordered it. Like some of the other reviews say, a little goes a long way so this deceivingly small container will last you a long time. It's a wonderful cream for the dry winters as the cream does a great job of staying on the skin and moisturizing. The smell is fantastic too, not a strong odor but really delicious, so much so that my daughters want to use it now.

Awesome natural moisturizer!
I recently stared gravitating towards small-batch products and have struggled with finding a pure product that can easily and quickly be delivered to my house on-demand. I thought that was asking for too much, but then I found Bombay Butter. After checking out their website and communicating with the founders (they are so responsive and genuine), I had to give the product a try. Bombay Butter feels so good on my skin and trust me, once you’ve tried it, regular lotions start to feel artificial

OMG this is my favorite body butter EVER
OMG this is my favorite body butter EVER! It’s legit. I’m not a fan of how water-based lotions feel and it’s hard to find creamy and real body butters outside of farmers’ markets. News flash: Body shop and Lush have chemicals too. I can tell Bombay Butter is all it claims to be because of the cracks, indicating its handmade production, visible in the product! Plus it melts right away in your hands and feels amazing! This is the SUPERFOOD of skin products

The best skin cream I've ever experienced!
I am a massage therapist, and this is the best skin care cream I have ever tried. It is what I will use for myself and for my massage clients. I highly recommend this product. I looove the nourishing afterglow of this cream, and it even soothes the ache in my hands when I have a long day of massage. You can't beat that it's handmade! I swear you can feel the care that goes into this wonderful skin cream!
