LG Sound Bar SC9S Perfect Matching for OLED C TV with IMAX Enhanced and Dolby Atmos (Renewed)

It works great to fill up a great room space with good sound. Set up was easy and connected automatically. Music sounds really good with the extra bass. Speech is very clear when watching shows or movies when selecting that sound filter option on the device. Recommend.

Everything was there and well packaged. Wireless to the TV was not great but worked well with my LG TV once I bought an optical cable. Volume level is decent for movies and tv but don’t expect deafening theater surround sound or high fidelity stereo performance when cranking up your favorite heavy metal via a Bluetooth stream.

Being a real 3.1+ sound bar, this doesn't have problems decoding and rendering multi-channel mixes like every 2.1 sound bar "with phantom/virtual center" I've ever used. The phone app to control it is a little hard to navigate, but once I found a level and configuration setting that works, and it works for everything from faceless man unboxing videos on YouTube to '90s TV sitcoms in stereo and action movies Atmos on streaming services with, I don't think I'll have to use it again. Be warned that though the volume level is MUCH more consistent between content with different audio tracks, this sound bar gets ROWDY; I never turn it up past 25% volume for fear of hearing loss. I can't wait to plug it in to an LG C4 TV in a few weeks and see what other capabilities unlock.

When I unpacked the sound system, there was an empty styrofoam bag in it which was the first clue. As I started to put it together, I found that I was missing a spacer (rec'd 1 not 2), the HDMI cable and the REMOTE!! I called LG about the spacer but as I looked at youtube instructions (because the instructions with the sound system were crap) I realized I didn't need the second one if not hanging on the wall, which I wasn't. When I realized I was missing the HDMI cable and the remote, I used an extra cable I had and the LG TV magic remote worked for most everything except the initial turning on and pairing. I will need that remote to work it with anything else, however. I also received many more screws than required and a cable with two red antennas at the end that doesn't seem to go to anything on that sound system. The front face of the speaker has a slight warp in the middle which I didn't really notice until installed but doesn't seem to impact the sound. Contacted LG who said it was Amazon's issue. Contacted Amazon through the returns process and my only choice was to put it in as a return and drop it off at the nearest UPS store. Boxed up, that system weighs about 60 lbs and is huge. Overpackaging would be an understatement. I'm an older woman and live alone, so I don't have the ability to just load it in my car and run it down to UPS. I had to drag it from my front step into the room initially. I gave up and ordered a new remote on EBay. The system itself has great sound and would have been easily installed if all the parts were there. Needless to say, next time, I'll buy new and not attempt to save $40 getting a renewed one.

This is a perfect soundbar for my new LG OLED 'G' series. Using a proper HDMI cable the TV and soundbar are full integrated and the smart set up actually tunes all components, I do highly suggest the optionsl wireless remote kit if you can find a bundle, it is very hard to buy separately as LG discontinued the model LG SPQ8-S and the soundbars are only compatible with certain other LG models. The basic setup is a 3.1.2 surround (3 forward speakers, 2 ceiling facing (in the bar) and one subwoofer. The optional surround kit turns it into 5.1.2. I do not suggest trying to connect both a separate home theater system (AVR) to the Soundbar as the HDMI ports do not support this sort of setup.

So I have this tied into an LG screen... I was expecting more of a THUMP. Also you really have to turn it up to hear the dialog but the music\background sound is already high. Kinda hard to tune the frequency volumes (EQ).

Fully operational and no signs of wear. Took a few extra days to get here, but at over 50% of, Well worth the wait!

Refurbished product did not work correctly out of the box. Connection issues with hdmi connection point.
