Bought for a project the wife had. It wored well and i was able to make smooth radiuses. I made a few sharp bends it worked as adveritised. It is solidly built and should last an while.

I have a floor-mounted bender for bigger material but the dies and geometry don't work for smaller material and smaller bends. This bender fit the bill for working with smaller sized material. That previous experience helped me get up and running with this tool quickly. Having said that, the supplied instructions are good enough to get you going, but plan on a learning curve experimenting on scraps before trying any "keeper" bends. It takes some fiddling to find the right die and how to hold the material being bent to get optimal results. Once you get some experience, repeatable results are pretty easy. This is a good value compared to other products. The handle is two piece, bolted together with a lap joint that is fitted a little loose. As received it will never stay together without shifting slightly, but it works fine. The handle wrap however, is non-adhesive lined, very thin shink tubing which came off with the first use. I replaced it with marine adhesive lined shrink tubing that is thicker and stays put. I knocked off one star because of this. I've been bending 0.25 stainless steel round rod and 0.325 half-inch carbon steel flat bar with ease. The stainless bent easily with just half the handle attached. The shorter length was so handy when bending the smaller material that I added a shrink wrap handle to the shorter half. The 3/8 bar required the full length handle but the bar bent as expected. Note that you'll need a substantial vise to hold the tool as bending 3/8 bar required a lot of force which will twist the vise. A smalled vise mount might not hold up. The two-piece handle is connected with two button head socket screws. I opted to chamfer the holes and substitute flat head socket screws instead, preferring the smoother profile. Totally unnecessary but to me worth the effort. The fit of the two handle halves is not bad, but I also added a thin vertical shim to tighten up the fit. Much better, no wiggle. Otherwise the tool performed well. I wish it came with a couple of extra dies for more flexibility. I'll probably also drill out a couple of extra holes on the plate so the pins can be moved to accomodate different sized materials better, but as is it does the job. Overall a good buy and I'd purchase again.

Holes to bolt the handle together were not aligned between the two pieces. I was able to file one hole enough to get the bolts through but not good workmanship.
