Palmer Riley 60va Electronic Low Voltage Lighting Transformer

This product was purchased to power 3 x 20watt, 12v halogen bulbs and as a replacement for a blown magnetic transformer. Unlike a similar product purchased from a different Amazon supplier, this one worked and did the job perfectly. It came with bare terminals (ready to connect without needing to remove a 3-pin plug or DC connector) and so I was able to simply connect to existing connectors and had it installed and running within minutes. It is a very compact unit and screws are supplied in case you want to secure the transformer to a flat surface. It also has good safety features and represents excellent value. Bear in mind, though, that this unit is intended for use with lighting systems and the leads are less than a foot long with bare terminals. It would not necessarily be suitable as a power adapter for other appliances.

It may be a great product, but it is useless for LED power supply as it is 12V AC output. This is, perhaps, my fault, for not checking, but it would be nice if it was made clearer as this is not a specialist electrician's website...?

Ordered at approximately 1:30 pm on Friday arrived Saturday morning, excellent delivery for Standard Delivery (FREE).The Transformer was not a Luxina as per the photo but was still a branded model by HiSpec. Very good, these are replacements for some cheap rubbish bought elsewhere which have continually failed. Have installed these and they work perfectly.

Good value replacement for existing transformers which had given up the ghost - they work fine

the very same as the one that i took down it was broken. just wired up the new transformer and my ceiling lights were working again. thanks very much will use you again.

It works well with a 40 Watt system. I see no reason why it wouldn't work equally well with a 60 watt load but I don't have one. If the leads had been longer and it didn't have a slight hum, it would be five stars.

Ordered and delivered in record time. Took only a few minutes to fit and then the fun started as the light still didn't work. After changing all the connectors and cables in the system it turned out that there was a fault in one connector and that the original transformer was a good one! Never mind, now have a spare!
