I got this as a replacement for a soon to be obsolete Snap On scanner. I think this Artidiag900 Lite is a great piece of kit for the cost. It has features that are normally only found on the top tier VCIs. The comprehensive list of technical service bulletins taken from the original vehicle manufacturers is extremely handy, and has already provided some information that prevented me from making a repair using a part that had been superceeded.The fault code library is also very helpful. Not only does it give descriptions of what fault codes mean, it also details the most common causes of the faults and the order in which components should be checked based on their probability of being the cause of the fault.The built in warning lights lookup not only gives descriptions of what the warning lights mean, but it also explains how the systems work, what symptoms you may experience if the light is lit, and what effects it may have on you or the operation of the vehicle. This is one of the most useful features of this tool, as it accurately describes each of the systems in such a way that makes it easy to understand how they work. Like any diagnosis, you need to know how something works before you can undertake proper repairs.If like me you work on a large selection of vehicles from various manufacturers, you will know that the location of the OBD plug can sometimes be a bit of a mystery. The Artidiag900 Lite gets around this issue by providing a specific section highlighting the location of OBD plugs in virtually every vehicle. It uses pictures to show exact locations, which again is a time saving feature normally only found on more top end devices.For me the most useful feature of this scanner is its bluetooth capability. Most VCIs come with short cables that restrict your ability to fully test components on your own. For example if I need to feel a relay, actuator or component to see if reacts to the bi-directional control requests, I am able to do this without having to rely on someone else or listen for the clicks of components. You can hold the scanner in one hand* and feel the component with the other. * If I was to highlight something that I wasn't particularly keen on, it would be the angle of the hand grips on the rear of the device. A more square profile would make single handed operation more comfortable.Scanning vehicles is also a simple task. The Topdon intuitive and quick. It also is one of the few scanners that will detect every single module that a vehicle could be or is fitted with, and if the vehicle is fitted with a module the Topdon will communicate with it. Yes the Artidiag900 Lite isn't the top model, so in some cases it will only read and clear codes within certain modules, but this is still more than some more expensive scanners will do.I think that this scanner is an example of how things should go when it comes to VCIs. Not only is it a tool for diagnosing faults, but it's a learning tool that can teach amateurs (and even some of the pros) the basics about systems, fault diagnosis and diagnostic processes. As far as scan tools go, this is definitely one of the better ones at this price point. In fairness with the features found on it I would expect it to be priced higher than it actually is. The eight special functions are the most common, such as DPF resets/regenerations, BMS resets (adding new stop/start batteries) or bleeding ABS systems. Again all features that could allow an amateur or enthusiast to enact complete repairs without having to farm the job out.Already the Artidiag900 Lite has proven to be a worthwhile investment. The live data graphs (with overlay), or PID lists that can be easily adjusted to view only the data you want to view make diagnosing faults a lot easier.This scanner will do a lot more than other similarly marketed VCIs. It's hard to ignore it at this price point considering it's comprehensive vehicle coverage, technical databases and general diagnostic/bi-directional features.

This is a seriously good tool for the money. For starters it comes in a handy tough carry case that fits everything in snug. The scanner itself feels solid and rugged enough in your hands and the size of it just feels right. This model comes with a Bluetooth dongle so no need for cables between the unit and vehicle. The dongle sits nicely on the back of the unit via magnets which is a nifty touch. When you first turn it on and set it up, make sure you do the updates to get the best out of the scanner. The scanner is quick to VIN the vehicles I have used it on and once on it is quick and easy to access the diagnostic trouble codes and live data. Another nifty feature of this scanner is the ability to search what the codes mean and it also has a warning light guides page so you can compare your warning light and find out what it means. My favourite part of this machine has to be the TSB section. You can go in here, select your vehicle and in most cases it has the manufacturers TSBs (Technical Service Bulletins) which can be a massive help when performing diagnostics.I have had this scanner for a couple of weeks now and it gets used almost daily. I have other, expensive scanners and this competes with them, far surpassing my expectations. On a couple of occasions this is the only machine that would place certain vehicles brakes systems into maintenance mode, or carried out relearns on other engine systems.If you're looking for a good diagnostic machine with the ability to view live data amongst other things then I would highly recommend the Topdon Artidiag 900 lite.

Was a great machine at first , now the system won’t update due to insufficient memory on the unit , can’t update and can’t use . 6 months old and a waste of money

So this piece of kit is really nice. The size and weight of the reader is really ideal, enough weight to be robust but not too heavy or cumbersome when operating. It arrives with its own quality carry case with room for leads, chargers etc. The reader has a convenient slot in the back for the blue tooth OBD interface dongle. Very neat ideas.Started using it whilst following the instructions and the step by steps are really spot on, everything worked how it said; initial software/firmware updates (auto prompts when available), pair with the Bluetooth OBD dongle (which is remembered from then on), initial connection to the vehicle, VIN & vehicle identification and so on.So far I have used this on a number of VAG vehicles and a Ford. Downloading specific manufactures software files to be able to carry out specific tasks is very easy and quick. Reading diagnostic codes, making pdf reports and resetting them is very straight forward. The manufacture specific test are very straight forward to carry out also; resetting airbag lights, brake maintenance with E-brake, throttle valve calibration, and much more.There is also additional data in the library with info concerning fault code descriptions, warning light descriptions and much, much more.So far this has been a very sound investment.

Good tool, hasn’t got many functions but does its job for clearing codes, would like to program though

Being in the motor trade and knowing how expensive even semi decent scan tools can be I was unsure on how good this would be for the price.All I can say is I am completely wrong, this has not let me down once so far and is used on a daily basis with multiple brands. It is very easy to use and despite being the lite version is perfect for day to day use.The TSB for certain brands is an awesome touch so can really help with diagnosis on brands you don’t have much knowledge/experience on.The tablet is an awesome size not too big and bulky but still a good user friendly size. The travel case it comes in aswell keeps it very safe.Very impressed with the battery life on this. Been used over 10 days now and still not even close to needing charging.Overall the quality and value for money is exceptional and would not hesitate recommending this to anyone.

This is my first experience with a premium OBD reader and I was definitely not expecting it to be this good!This scanner is able to detect faults in every module of the car, something I have not been able to do before, I was looking to purchase a car and when I scanned it with my old cheap OBD reader it showed no faults at all (it only scanned engine faults). However I hooked up this scanner and boom, 9 faults found across various modules!The exact same 9 faults were showing on VCDS so this scanner can interact the exact same way and read codes from every module that VCDS can for a fraction of the cost and a much easier experience!I love the generate report feature - it makes troubleshooting very simple and makes it possible to show before and after of repairs.I also love the record feature, I was able to record a 5 min drive and log every aspect and then Re watch the recording and look for any anomaly’s in measurements recorded, aswell as freeze frame data.

Excelente escáner, muchas funciones.

TOPDON e' sicuramente una marca di alta qualita' e i loro prodotti sono fatti veramente bene, robusti ecc.Ma, purtroppo se si vuole avere un prodotto TOPDON con tante funzioni bisogna spendere tanti soldi e prendere un prodotto di fascia alta, che costa olte 1.000 eur, se prendete un prodotto che costa 300/400 eur e' praticamente un giocattolo.In particolare, problema con questo strumento e' che e' lento, lo schermo si spegne a caso e la cosa peggiore, ha pochissime funzioni, soltanto 8, non riesce nemenno disattivare lo Start/Stop.Pero' devo dire che e' fatto veramente bene, robusto, custodia di alta qualita' e con tanti accessori, solo per questo 3 stelle.Alla fine ho deciso di restituirlo perche' gli mancano tante funzioni che a me servono.

街のバイク屋さんをしています。バイクの車検で当店をご利用頂くお客さんから車の車検もちょいちょい受けることがあり、今まで使っていた診断機が古くなったのでプライムデーで買いました。故障コードの読み取りとかリセットも出来ました。買ったばかりなので国産車数種類とBMWのミニに使いました。うちの代車で使っている日産ノート（E11）は繋いだだけでは車体番号の読み取りは出来ず、手動の車体番号を入力しても認識できませんでしたが、何度かトライしているうちにE11を認識したようです。BMWのミニはエンジンチェックランプ点灯の状態でつなげたところ、自動で車体番号を認識してエラーコードの判別が出来ました。結果的にO2センサーで、フロント側と診断していました。一旦そのままエラー消去をしたらエンジンチェックも消えました。現在O2センサーを取り寄せ中なので、交換出来たら再度つなげる予定です。うちみたいにとりあえず車検に持ち込む前の検査程度であれば十分使えそうです。メーカー専用の診断機は高いし、数千円程度の読み取り機では不十分なのでそこそこ使える診断機として使うには良いと思います。購入前にもう一つ上のグレードの診断機も考えていたのですが、更新料がかかるとのことでやめました。現在お店で使っているバイク用の診断機も年間のサブスクで３～４万かかっているので、バイクほど使う機会は少ないため更新料がないこちらの機種にしました。故障コードとかはメール送信できるので、メモする必要もないのもよかったです。日本語表記で感覚的に使えるので気になる方は買っても損はなさそうです。

Not having to deal with a cable hanging from the dash is a bigger deal than you’d think—especially when you’re moving around the vehicle running tests.Where this tool really stands out is the diagnostic depth. This isn’t just a code reader. I’ve been able to run active tests, control components, and actually diagnose issues instead of guessing and throwing parts at a problem. Full system scans are quick and it pulls data from everything—ABS, SRS, transmission, BCM—you name it.The bidirectional controls are what really make this tool worth it. Being able to command things like fans, actuators, and other components saves a ton of time and takes the guesswork out of troubleshooting. For anyone doing real mechanical work, that’s huge.Vehicle coverage has been solid too. I’ve used it on a mix of domestic and import vehicles without any issues, and it handles newer systems like CAN-FD, which is a must if you’re working on newer models.It’s also got a ton of service functions built in—resets, relearns, maintenance functions—basically everything you need for most day-to-day jobs.Now, it’s not perfect.
