The purifier seems to do a good job and is really quite on the lower speeds. We had a slight problem with it but it was promptly resolved.

It cleans the air in the house great. It makes the air better. It is very quiet when it is on. It is easy to set up and to change the filters

The media could not be loaded. This is a must have if you smoke! Also when I cook fish, the smell lingers for a day or two, this removes the smell within a half hour. The filters last a long time and they send you multiple replacement ones

My NuWave air purifier was defective at some point 1.5 years into owning it, it would stay at "bad" air quality no matter what and the thing would ramp up to maximum speed continuously (on auto mode).After some troubleshooting through chat and phone, it was clearly not fixable (by me), so I received a UPS label to ship it to them, and they fixed it.Just by coincidence we had kept the box and Styrofoam pieces so we didn't have to find another box to ship it in... so I recommend you keep the box if you buy one of these.Anyway, it has a 5 year warranty against defects, so that is why I give it the 4 stars.

We were facing spring allergies and while our HVAC unit has air cleaning, it was not enough. Looked at lots of units but it was either buy 3-5 of them for different parts of the house our just this one that sits next to the kitchen and in the hallway between the two main doors. For the first week, rotated rooms but the new resting spot covers most of the house and when the doors open, it kicks into high gear, and it also helps with some of the kitchen smells. Wife's happy and thus I'm happy.

I needed something to reduce the smell of the plastic in my work area from 3D printing. The thing is a champ, though it doesn't seem to increase in air exchange, I generally bump it up to 2 or 3 for fan speed.When I was cleaning with Isopropyl, it caught it from across the room and turned to max. Does such an amazing job neutralizing the air. I also use it in my lower level which can get that basement smell on occasion, really helped with that also.I can't say it's removing VOC's, I have no way of measuring that, but it does remove the odor.
