I am a professional gardener and use these Flora Guard hedge shears multiple times a day. They are tough, have never needed sharpening, in fact maintenance wise a clean up and some oil in the off season is all they get. They are very light and easy to use, and the angle of the blade makes it easy to use them upside down, which is good for shaping the bottom of hedges and bushes really well. The retractable handles have never failed, unlike more complex designs which fail with a bit of mud or moisture inside! I purchased a pair in June of 2018 and eventually the handle came off in October 2025, that is 7 years and 5 months of rigorous use. I didn't hesitate to replace like for like, so glad they were still available. For normal private use I would suggest that this is the only pair you will ever need to buy, and for professional use...7 years ain't bad!

These are so good. I'm not as agile as I was a few years ago but this enables me to do a bit of gardening without killing myself. Great product

I'm really happy with this tool, my old shears had rusted and were very heavy to use - this is really light weight and is essentially two tools in one. I can reach my larger hedges without having to get the ladders or change tools. The extendable handles are excellent and very simple to operate, once locked in place they hold firmly. The blades are nice and sharp and after a lot of use they are still cutting with ease.The handles are comfortable to hold and have a nice grip shape. It comes with a cover for the blades and is light enough to be hung up. Really pleased with it.

They were great specially the telescopic handles there value for money the blades a very sharp and we keep them clean and oil the blades keep them rust free the handles had rubber so had great grip easy to use and good for reaching

Ypu get what you pay for with tools and that's true here. They are good for small gardens and for some one not needing to cut too much. Once they'd been used a while I found the clips on the handles became loose and would come open leading the handle to move. They also got blunt fairly quickly too. But if you aren't needing to use them much they'd be OK.

Seems to be good quality. Easy to extend and light weight makes trimming my bushes much easier. No more risky standing on a step stool to reach. Really thought about a small ladder, but at 74 not a good idea to get on ladders. This trimmer is doing the job. Actually I would like it even better if it would extend a few more inches.
