And is there any indicator to show catridge life** A: Hi, the guideline of 4 weeks (one month) is based on average use in an area of average water hardness. In areas with very hard water it is usually the hardness in the water which exhausts the cartridge more quickly. Filtering more water will also have an effect on the life of the cartridge. BRITA estimate that each cartridge should have an active life of about 100 litres water filtration per cartridge. The memo which is situated in the lid of the Marella will count down 4 weeks from when the cartridge is installed.
