Review: What a wonderful travel addition! - What an amazing addition to longer term travel with limited laundry. My daughters hiked the Camino for a week and their group of 5 friends used this during their trip. Following this, we toured Europe for 2 weeks with another couple and used this during this trip. It worked fantastic and after many uses is still holding up! Very impressed!
Review: Great on the go Washing Machine!! - I love my Scrubba Bag! I used it a couple of times last year on big trips where it wasn’t easy to get my clothes clean. I have expensive wool clothing and didn’t want it ruined by a laundry service. I traveled to Tanzania to hike Kilimanjaro and go on safari. After the hike, I was able to wash my clothes at the hotel so I had fresh clothes for the safari. I also used it during a hiking trip in Canada while staying at a campground, and it worked great there as well. The bag is super easy to use and pretty self-explanatory, but if you need more guidance than what’s printed on the bag, there are YouTube videos that walk you through the process.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is the roll-down closure 100% water tight?**
A: The roll-down closure used allows the product to be lightweight and flexible however some water can wick through the closure over time. This can be minimized by rolling the closure as tightly as possible 6 times.

**Q: What cleaning products can be used to wash clothes in the Scrubba wash bag?**
A: Laundry liquids, powders and sheets can all be used in the Scrubba wash bag (even shampoo or bodywash if you are desperate). Please ensure powders or sheets are fully dissolved before adding clothing to the portable washing machine.

**Q: Does the Scrubba wash bag remove stains?**
A: Independent testing shows that the Scrubba wash bag gives a machine quality wash. However, just like with your home washing machine some stains need to be pre-treated before washing. Travel stain removing pens work well with the Scrubba wash bag.

**Q: Can I soak clothes in the Scrubba wash bag?**
A: While the Scrubba wash bag is designed for washing clothes in just minutes, you can soak clothes if needed. As the roll-down closure isn't 100% waterproof, the Scrubba wash bag should be placed upright in a shower, bath or basin during soaking.

**Q: What do I do if I have issues with my Scrubba wash bag?**
A: Please reach out as we can assist with tips and tricks to get the most out of your Scrubba wash bag. We can also offer repair instructions and/or replacements for manufacturing defects.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Essential kit for camper van
*by S***U on May 9, 2023*

Have been using a Scrubba for about 3 years, almost exclusively for our camper van. We go on multi week trips (no #vanlife) and ride, hike and ruck daily. The scrubba has a bit of a learning curve, but once you figure out the sweet spot for your situation, it works well. Took 1/2 star off due to the material -- ours doesn't leak, but we have to treat it gingerly. Our approach: Fill to the line with clothes (don't overfill). We use a squirt of Bronner's Castile Liquid Soap (Almond when able, my favorite). I fold the seal down but don't take the air out, and shake the Scrubba to get some suds going. Open the valve, bleed the air, scrub for two minutes. Dump into a collapsible pan (or your gray water tank), repeat the process with fresh water. That's it. then we dry it by rolling inside a microfiber towel. If we're good we can do an entire day's worth of bike gear in 20 minutes. If we have direct sunlight, clothes will dry -- and smell great -- in ten minutes. The Castile soap does not irritate nor leave annoying residue. What I don't like: I'm constantly worrying that the material will puncture or tear. You need to find somewhere clean and flat to scrub. In a true outdoors scenario, that is not always possible. Although it uses surprisingly little water —probably less than any other option—you still need to find a way to find, and dispose of, wash water. What I like: When you get the process right (agitating for suds was key for us), washing is quick and effective. When you're done, it air dries quickly, doesn't smell, and packs amazingly small. Required equipment for long trips. What I'd change: The little valve is effective, but tiny and fragile. I'd like to see something more robust for true outdoor use.
