Great value for money and works
My dog regularly got crystals in her bladder my vet recommended Hills urinary care dry food and apple cider vinegar capsulesit was nearly £ 80 a bag and saw little difference over 6 months , this food however has worked wonders along side her apple cider vinegar caps been on it 5 months now and touch wood not been back to the vet apart from urine tests which are clearVery happy Mum and dog highly recommend

Vet-recommended and the dogs actually eat it, which is half the battle
My vet recommended this for my dog with early stage kidney disease, so I bought it for that reason rather than just as a normal dry food.The main thing I wanted was something suitable for her needs, but also something she would actually eat. There is absolutely no point buying a specialist food if the dog looks at you as if you’ve personally betrayed them. Thankfully, my dogs seem to enjoy this and eat it without any fuss.The kibble is easy enough to serve, the bag size is practical, and it feels like a good option when you need a veterinary diet rather than just a standard food. I can’t comment on long-term medical results yet, and obviously I’d always follow a vet’s advice with kidney or urinary issues, but from a day-to-day feeding point of view it has been straightforward.Specialist diets are never the most exciting purchase, but this has been a good one for us. Vet recommended, accepted happily by the dogs, and much easier than trying to persuade a fussy animal to eat something “good for them”.

Good stuff for dogs with struvites
Brilliant dog food. My dog has been diagnosed with struvites few years agom.My dog has been on those for 3 years . No blockage or any urine infections since. Highly recommend 🙏⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

expensive and only 1 flavour the dogs get bored of
Vet said our dog has to use this (urinary food) for life. Any cheapo bag of dog food "off the shelf" is about £1 per kg (i.e. £12 for a 12kg bag). This is £50 for 12kg!! not sure why, it has less protein and more "filler". It's the cheapest of the available brands but you still need a small mortgage or consider selling limbs / children just to keep your pet healthy. (while on it, our dog can pee happily and no return of bladder stones, so definately does the job intended and for that reason, we can't not buy it.. :( )Update approx 18months from first use. Our Dog hasn't had any repeat hospitalisation or surgeries required, in fact so long as he's on this food his weight and bladder stone problems are extremely well managed. As soon as he has 'normal ' non urinary specific food, he's bunged up again. This clears any blockages quickly and keeps them gone. Would recommend for any loved pet but make sure you have a bank loan !

Good alternative to Hills
Bought this as an alternative to Hills. My dog seems happy to eat it. I don't seem to need to feed him quite as much either. Toileting seems normal as well. Happy dog and owner!
