Innovative Mechanical Pencil!
I'm a mechanical pencil freak. Have been since I was in grade school. I got all kinds of clutch pencils and mechanical pencils in my collection. I usually get a few unusual pencils a year, I decided to give this one a shot. Though, suffice to say, I'm a .9mm guy, it was a pencil I "gotta" have in my collection. It does hold up to it's name with it's name to claim. Up to 3 clicks, the lead will not break. A few times I got it up to 4 clicks and the lead didn't break. But with 1, 2, or 3 clicks, you can press really hard and it just retracts back in, then when you release, it pops back out. Pretty neat design if you ask me. Only downside is, there is too much plastic. I prefer metal pencils. Like out of aluminum or brass, made with metal components. There are only a few left that use all metal parts. But you are looking at spending some cash. However, it appears if the pencil is well made, and the components are engineered in such a way that it should last several years. Longer if only used at a desk. Zebra gives you extra pencil leads, in HB (#2) grade hardness. I did notice they seemed more like a H hardness, more than a HB. Maybe just a quality HB lead? Not sure. I'd have to do more analysis on the lead composition. Just by the faintness of how it was writing compared to my Pentel HB, and my Nano Dia HB leads of the same thickness. I have a feeling there is more clay in the lead making it stronger, more like in the middle ground of H and HB. I need to try some of my Pentel colored leads in it. They are a LOT more brittle than regular pencil lead. Curious to see if the DelGuard system will protect against broken colored leads. As that was one of the reasons I was looking into this pencil. Whenever I get around to it, I'll come back and report my findings. All in all, it's a great pencil for the money. It goes up similar to my Mitsubishi/Uni Kuru Toga with the rotating lead mechanism.

Best shaped lead container
The lead is fine but I really like the round tubes that fit nicely in the slots of my pen cases. Itโs nice to be able to carry refills on-the-go without needing a separate pouch or having the lead container floating around loose in my bag.

Brilliant innovation!
Iโm a hamfisted, mechanical pencil snob. I love this pencil. No more broken lead! The only thing that could make it better, is if they combined it with the one that rotates the lead every time it lifts off the paper so itโs always on the sharp part.

Great product. The pencil for these replacements and these erasers are impossible to find in person where I live so itโs nice to be able to order them straight to my door

A good product for strong-gripped writers.
This is my second time buying a DelGuard type pencil, and I am definitely satisfied with how well they work. Don't get me wrong, it is entirely possible to still break graphite with these if you write with an iron grip, but it occurs much less. Comfort with this particular model is obviously on par with any other plastic mechanical pencil. I would be interested in trying the ergonomic model, but I've heard the silicon grip attracts dust. If you're writing all day, it might be a good investment, but for students who only need to write for a couple hours a day, these are absolutely sufficient. I agree with the other comments saying that the eraser holder is constructed in a way that wastes erasers. If you buy a model where the eraser holder can pop out of the pencil, all you need to do is cut a little flat disc out of a used eraser, maybe an eighth of an inch, and slide it into the bottom of the holder to give your fresh erasers that much more room before they're worn out. This model will not let you do that however, unless you want to start inserting lead from the business end, which might prove frustrating if you don't have steady hands. Overall, these are a decent value for the money if you don't place comfort or eraser conservation at the top of your list. If you do, however, there are other DelGuard models that might suit you better.

Good Pencils
The mechanical pencils won't let you down. The spring means you can press down harder without fear of the lead breaking and they are light enough to not cause fatigue but sturdy and simple enough to be used by a frequent note taker.

Quality Mechanical Pencil Eraser Refills
I've been sold on Zebra products for years and love them to this day. Zebra is the best brand of mechanical pencils, lead refills, and replacement erasers. There is none better for the quality you get. I'd guarantee I've probably saved a fortune on mechanical pencils over the years by buying Zebra because they do not break near as easily as the cheaper brands.

Increรญble FLEX.
INCREรBLE.

Love this pen and would definitely buy again. I thought mechanical pencils would never be for me.
Really does work unless you press down at a hard angle and then the lead will snap, but I'm prone to pressing very hard when I write and I thought mechanical pencils would never be a thing I could use, and I really hate sharpening wood pencils because I want the point FINE all the time and it's a waste to sharpen them every minute or so. I would break leads constantly on other 0.7 mechanicals. This pencil really works for me and the hand-feel is OK but there is no cushion for your fingers so it isn't the best for really long time writing and for those who like the rubber grips. I do wish it had a rubbery grip for the finger area. The eraser is super small and won't last long but never does in these kind of pens. Don't rely on it.

Simply the best for heavy-handed writing!
I love this pencil a lot! I tend to press pretty hard when Iโm writing quickly, especially when studying or taking notes, and the lead has never broken on me. That was always my biggest issue with mechanical pencils, so this completely changed my view on them. It feels reliable, writes smoothly, and I can just keep writing without worrying about snapping the lead. The grip can be a little slippery but it feels solid in hand. Easy 5 stars for me.
