The printer works fine, it was sent with the wrong type of power cord. I needed the American power cord and it sent the British one so it didn’t work. However they corrected it for me as soon as they found out. Great customer service.

I recently got my hands on the Zebra ZD421 desktop printer for a school project, and I’ve got to say, it’s a solid piece of tech for anyone needing to print labels fast and easy. This thing’s a beast at churning out 4-inch labels with crisp 203 dpi quality—perfect for barcodes, shipping tags, or even organizing stuff for a small business. Setting it up was a breeze with the USB connection, and the five LED icons make it super simple to figure out what’s going on, like if it’s out of paper or jammed. Plus, it’s compact, so it doesn’t hog desk space, which is clutch when you’re already drowning in textbooks and notes.That said, it’s not perfect. For the price (around $600-$700), it’s a solid investment if you need reliability and speed, but don’t expect it to do everything out of the box without some tweaking or add-ons. Overall, it’s a workhorse that gets the job done—definitely recommend it for anyone stepping up their label game!

I have a love hate with this thing.Lets start with the negative 2 stars.The instructions are in Chinese and getting this thing to function for the first time is more of a headache than I bargained for.I have started to get the install going a few times and I think I even got it to print something once.But, for the price, it should be a lot easier whether with instructions or built to be plug and play.i don't have nfc and I recently discovered it had bluetoooth (I'm pretty sure, like I said, I have wanted to use it, something comes up that is irritating and I walk away, pack it back up and move on.I got a tiny m250 printer from another company at the same time and that thing is so darn simple to print, the shipping label I needed was done in a few minutes.I would like to get into printing and want the zebra to be the machine I use but...I have no idea if that is a reality. It may just come out to see daylight every so often for me to just get upset with it again and shove it back in the box.Again, at that price, wifi cards should be included, not $100 or a couple hundred, whatever it was when I looked up, it wasn't cheap.Maybe I'll use it as a history piece when I am older and keep it as a door stop or paper weight until then.Potential = 3 starsDifficulty and lack of included "should be included" items = -2 starsI was so excited when I ordered it, but once I opened it and saw the only available literature....miseryOh, and they direct you to videos, and I couldn't tell if the first video had audio and my computer had audio issues....it looked like I was missing out on audio but I don't think it did.Nothing about this thing is convenient fyi. Nothing....and the fact it wastes so much paper aligning itself is mind boggling.Like I said, a love hate situaiton.

First things first. Though it can certainly be used as such, this isn’t really a thermal printer intended for home use. The substantially elevated price tag of this thermal printer probably already made that pretty clear to you. Additionally, it is fairly well known that Zebra printers are designed and built primarily for high-volume retail and commercial use. Hence the quite high price point. And this ZD421 printer isn’t even close to the price of Zebra’s costliest thermal printers.And with that said, if you are looking for a premium-quality thermal printer, this ZD421 printer excellent. It’s a direct replacement for their ZD420 printer, which was/is a very reliable and durable printer. Which is precisely what you need most from a printer in a retail or commercial setting where your equipment simply must perform as expected.And lastly, I’ve been using this ZD421 printer for about three weeks now. It prints clearly/beautifully, and it has worked without causing a problem of any kind. And that’s why I have no reservations in recommending this printer.
