Great thickener and jeller
Great, but be careful, you do not need much. Wiggly jelly result. No need to cook but it is better that way

Gels up nicely
Really good product. It gels up nicely and works well as a thickening agent for soups and such. The only downfall I have with it is that it isn’t entirely flavorless. I can taste a beef flavor even when it’s just water added with the powder. So I don’t use it for any desserts or sweet type recipes.

Product is white and doesn't turn brown when bloomed.
I got this to make fruit juice jello. I used Welches grape juice and added a half cup of sugar. I followed the instructions on the jar and it worked very well. Shortly after this, one of our cats had a stroke and was having issues eating. After trying many different things, including gravy and broth toppers for cat food, we decided to try making a cat food aspic/jello. This is the Recipe we use now. We started with half of this amount. 1 cup of cold water 4 Tablespoons of gelatin Place gelatin in cold water and let bloom 1 cup of hot water (I find 1 minute in the microwave works well) In a large bowl place: 8 cans of Friskies pate (or food of choice, a pate seems to work best) using a whisk, stir up the pate to break it up. Add bloomed gelatin to the pate and pour a cup of hot water over. Mix together until gravy like. Separate out into containers place in refrigerator and let set. Cut set mixture into squares and feed out. After trying an assortment of containers, we have discovered that in the large containers, the middle won't set properly. We use 4 of the square 4 cup containers and fill about half full. Those seem to work the best of all that we tried. Cutting into squares works best for our cat, also, if the squares soften, he has trouble eating them. He likes them cold. He is now putting on weight and can run, abet, not well, he is stroke wabbly, but he is healing and doing much better. The other cats won't eat these, but the dogs like it. With any luck, this will be of help to someone.
