This bank is geared for kids, as it is a sturdy plastic and not metal. In reminds me in size of a metal bank I had as a kid with a combination, however, here we have a key pad. When you put the three batteries in, it has a satisfying digital beeping tune that starts. Likewise, when you get the code wrong or right trying to enter it, the bank sounds off also. The default entry is in the instructions, but it is six zeroes and the number sight (000000#). While it is marketed as a kid's toy, this a nice man cave item. Who doesn't love a little safe?The one downfall I see is that the lever that holds the door shut is plastic. Like I said, the bank is sturdy, but a part like this should probably be metal if kids are going to be playing with it, as more than likely it will break over time. Nevertheless, a cool toy. Reminds me of the fun I had when I was a child.

Dollar slot wouldn't accept, and would occasionally make a buzzing noise that can only be stopped by removing the batteries.

My grandson decided to keep it even though it didn’t work correctly. It’s supposed to keep track of how much money is in the bank, it’s completely incorrect but makes all sorts of sounds that the kids love. My grandson wanted to keep it even though it didn’t calculate the money correctly. Would not recommend, we bought another different type and it works well, it doesn’t calculate the funds.

Our son said this was his favorite present. It works really well and he loves putting in dollar bills in the electric feeder. He also loves that he has a secret code that only he knows. Great gift idea!

much too complicated to program and use for a child and heaven forbid if you lose the manual.i bought it for a friend's grandchild for a gift and went to set it up before a birthday. Yikes. now its 2 days out of the return window. i thought that it would "just" count the money that is inserted., but that is not the case.

The media could not be loaded. So far , I like the idea of this mini savings bank and I think it’s a great tool for beginner savers.. ( perfect for kids), once they are able to get the hang of how it works.The initial set-up was a bit annoying in my opinion as some of the functions did not work properly or according to the instructions. I had to remove and then replace the batteries twice so I could get the digitized numbers to reset, in order to try to set the time , which is first on the list of instructions.If you’re planning on gifting this to younger children, I’d say the parents should definitely have their little ones to pay close attention so they can gain an understanding of how it works. After setting up, when you deposit your coins , the bank will automatically show the value of each coin that you deposit and then after a few seconds , it shows the total balance of what’s been deposited so far.The cons for me are the following: when withdrawing money you’ll have to manually update the new balance, and when depositing bank note, you must then go in and manually enter in the value of each note, as the safe is unable to read them.I find this to be very annoying and time consuming. I wouldn’t have the time it takes to go in and manually update each time a note is deposited or when coins or notes are withdrawn.In summation, if you’re going to use this bank or gift it to someone else, please also provide/ gift that individual with some sort of banking notebook/ log to help them to stay organized and keep track of their deposit /withdrawal amounts/ dates, as it will definitely help.I would like to suggest to the seller also to think about including a bank log dept/withdrawal form or notebook, as this would help tremendously with the bookkeeping aspect that’s necessary for this item.Not sure if I would recommend this to anyone as, I find it to be quite time consuming, BUT one can always use that as a positive and use this as a great learning tool, you just need to have a ton of patience.I’d say this would be better for older kids, at-least 8 or older that are able to better understand / learn how it works so they’re can operate independently.

This is a nice giftable piggy bank for anybody. It operates on 3 "AA" batteries that are not included. Date and time setup is easy "if" you read the instructions. Operation of this bank is not self intituitive, it needs certain combinations of numbers and symbols. Coin counter works perfect. This bank has a bills slot, but you need to input the face value manually. I'm very pleased with this piggy bank. NOTE: when the display starts to get dim, it's time to replace the batteries, but first write down the balance because you'll need to input it after batteries replacement as memory is lost.

This is a great sturdy bank. It is very accurate. The battery last for a long time. I love the appearance of this bank. It is a great value.
