Like it
Got this as a gift for my friend, who loves outdoor activities, camping, hiking, etc. I know, first aid kit as gift, little weird. Hopefully he will like it. very well packaged, which is perfect as a gift. Inside is well organized with easy access.

Right out of the box no tourniquet.
I was all excited finding this med kit on sale, and looking through the inventory it sounded great. Plus with the inclusion of the tourniquet made this a much better deal then most of the comparable, and then it arrives today, I do a quick inventory and no tq. So disappointed. I'd return it if it wasn't such a hassle anymore dealing with Amazon.

OK this is a nice trauma kit
And that is the first thing to know about this. It's not a little first-aid kit. You're not going to really find band-aids in this thing. I wouldn't even call this a first aid kit, It should a Trauma kit. It is decked out with things you're going to need for serious emergencies. It is very nice to have but I really was a bit disappointed that basic bandaids of different sizes were not included in a first-aid kit. Still, it's a nice kit though.

Amazing first aid kit is geared towards true emergencies (not minor ones)
QUICK SUMMARY: This first aid kit is really geared towards serious or even life-threatening injuries and survival conditions, and not geared simply to address minor injuries like a bug bites, scrapped kneecaps, or minor lacerations.WHAT I LIKE:- I was surprised at the contents of this kit; it really is geared more towards survival and very serious injuries. Examine the contents carefully to see if this is the kind of kit you really want or need.- For survival circumstances, it has a metal whistle, a chintzy (but fully functional) compass, a glow stick- It has plenty of gauze and bandages and tape and scissors and such to handle a variety of injuries- After unzipping, the interior folds out to make it easy to get to the items you want- The folded-out interior is very clearly marked with categories to help you find what you're looking for- The one item that had an expiration date (burn treatment ointment) had an expiration date of November 2025 (it's June 2023 as I write this), so, reasonably far into the future- There is a very nice first aid booklet that explains what to do and also explains medical terms like "shock" and what that means, why it's serious, and what to do about itWHAT COULD BE BETTER:- What I was surprised was NOT included in this kit were common medications, like, aspirin, acetaminophen, antihistamine pills and ointments, etc., and things you'd commonly see in a medicine cabinet in your home. So, I recommend adding a few of these missing supplies to this first aid kit to make it more complete.CONCLUSION: This first aid kit is more of a survival kit rather than a first aid kit to handle problems you'll have around the house, school, office. Don't pay for more than what you need. If you need a first aid kit for survival circumstances, very serious injuries, and life-threatening circumstances, then, yeah, this seems like a good item to have around you.

First Aid Kit for Trauma
The first aid kit provides things like gauze, scissors, bandages, tape, gloves, wipes. There aren't many things you would expect like antiseptic paste, tweezers, needles, glue, temporary sutures, or thread. It is a good start to a first aid kit and can deal with some more serious wounds but there are a lot of missing components to make it a first aid kit that would be a one stop shop.Overall, its nice to have available as you never know what to be prepared for but you will probably need to furnish the missing components if you are looking for a complete kit.
