This lock is amazing. I was having to slam the door prior to putting in the new lock. I thought that the broken dead bolt part of the lock was the only problem but when I put I. This new lock it made the door close better and lock easily. I love the way it works.

Looked great!
Arrived in a perfectly functional box but soon after things went south for my super typical 2017 Forrest River trailer. It bolted in but the latch asm wasnt long enough to hold the door closed, it could be popped open with a slight rap of the hand. I would suggest to look for a unit the was cast aluminum like the original, this sheet metal unit lacked the rigidity of the original. A side note is the key code on lock didnt match the code on the keys guaranteeing another replacement if you loose the keys.

Felt like a heavy quality handle in the box. The interior (white plastic) lock lever was broken off it's post and was too short to use out of the box with a few pieces of it loose inside. I figured maybe not a big deal, I might just try to use the red plastic one off of my old door handle or possibly just use the old inside handle with the new outside handle. That's when I discovered the "metal" on the outside frame had a crack in it too. I then decided to return it for a refund instead of a replacement. This particular handle was likely damaged from a drop but I guarantee you this is not a quality product. Buy one from a RV or tractor supply.

The latch was shipped and received very quickly. The product is exactly as described. Made of metal and good solid construction on it. Easy to install, it took less than 10 minutes and no trips to the ER. It a recommended product.
