Checked out the other reviews when purchasing this. Don't know WHAT they are doing or talking about. Very easy to install. ALL DRIVERS DOWN LOAD FROM EPSON. I can put my iMac, desk top, to sleep and scanner stays on. Went off once and when I woke iMak up it turned back on. No unplugging , reloading or what ever, just turned back on! Doesn't make any more noise then my older scanner, No problem. Scans quickly, not MINUTES like reviews stated? Photo quality is fine as well as printed statements. Just got it up n running so will give an update in the future. Don't know what the other reviewers where talking about. Great little unit, not as bulky as my other Epson scanner was. As a former professional photographer, I have always found Epson to be my choice. Oh yes, price was right!

I wanted to scan in all of my mothers photos she had in a paper file & then put them into a photo album so I bought this. It's really nice to have & I've used it a few more times after the initial intended use. It works great, easy & straightforward to use. You can do 4 photos at once which is good for saving time, but any more than that it doesn't detect. Make sure you space them out a little bit so it will detect them all as seperate pictures. The software is easy to download & use, you can crop the photos & tilt them if they scan in slightly off. The photos were all scanned in accurately & good quality. It is a bit slower at scanning but it didn't bother me at all.

This scanner died after a little more than 1 year of sporadic use (perhaps after scanning about 400-500 photos). At some point, the scanner stopped turning on consistently (requiring the USB to be unplugged and re-plugged repeatedly in order to get it working) and the preview scan would often turn out to be a full black page. A few weeks afterwards, the scanner stopped turning on at all. Prior to the scanner dying, it's scans also had streak lines through the middle of the page. Fortunately, I was able to work around by positioning the photos outside of the streak lines. Besides that, scan quality was decent, but not outstanding compared to higher-end scanners. Another flaw that's worth mentioning is that the actual scan area does not extend to the edge of the glass (a shortcoming that's even documented in the manual), meaning that it's necessary to place photos within the edge; however, doing so can result in a skewed scan that requires adjustment afterwards. In any case, the fact that this scanner died just after a year of use underscores its cheap construction and build quality and validates the saying "buy cheap, buy twice." This scanner may still be ok if you're just looking for a one-and-done light scan project.

Bought it to scan photos and get rid of prints. The scanner is ok. Not terribly fast but will scan multiple pics at once if they’re far enough apart on the scanning bed. It also seems to tire out. It needs long breaks between hundreds of pictures or else it adds random white borders. Sometimes I have to scan pictures 2 or 3 times to get rid of the white borders. Scans directly to a folder on my computer and then I transfer pics to an external hard drive. Slow process. For the money I would probably buy it again because this is a short term project and didn’t want to invest in a more expensive scanner I don’t need after the pictures are scanned. I have also scanned a few documents and that has done fine. Scans to a pdf.

I needed to preserve old photos from the 1940's on. This works perfectly. Using 1200 dpi is perfect. Scanning up to 6 photos at the same time is quick and easy. Very happy to discover they all came out as individual scans AND were were straight even though I didn't place them exactly straight. Crooked scans are a thing of the past.

I love this scanner. I recently took on the task of scanning almost 500 family photos. I bought a Canoscan and it didn't work at all for me. I bought the Epson scanner and am very happy with the results. I placed 6 photos on the scanner and it automatically separated them into 6 different files. This made the process so much faster. The scan speed is decent and the quality is excellent. Plus you don't even need a power cord. I highly recommend this scanner.

I just scanned in over 3000 pictures of varying sizes, some of which were between 1 and 3 inches square or rectangle. I could easily fit several on the scanning surface and each picture came out just as clear as if I had scanned each individually. I don't like that sometimes the scanner software wanted to 'auto crop" but it was easily corrected with a click of the mouse. The physical size of the scanner is just right for me (I don't have large items to scan) and it is fairly light. The only thing I don't like it that it is always on when plugged in - there is no on/off switch. Also, if the computer goes to sleep while the scanner is plugged in, the scanner doesn't work. You have to unplug the scanner and restart your computer. Just plugging the scanner back in didn't work, at least for me. I used an iMac for my scanning, so this problem might not exist for a PC.

I've been doing a lot of art related projects recently and wanted to have a better way to capture my work besides my phone camera. I have a Windows 11 Pro Device and attempting to get this installed and working was an arduous task. I have a new(ish) computer and trying to get this working and installed was painful. I'm not a big fan of having to install their dumb scanning software to be able to get a driver install done. The built in scanning utility in Windows does the job as far as I'm concerned. Despite that, I installed the epson software and my device wouldn't even recognize the scanner, just a big ! in device manager. I uninstalled everything, went back to a fresh config, then installed the megapack of everything on their site, still nothing. I mapped the drivers manually using the .inf file in device manager, and after that, finally, the device is recognized. But scanning errors out. So I gave up and am returning it. It might be a me issue here, it might just not like my device, but this was a horrible experience.

Funciona a la perfección , el mismo cable USB alimenta al escaner, asi que es de bajo consumo electrico. Rapido, alta calidad de escaneo y myligero.Recomiendo descargar software de escaneo extra, el incluido es demasiado sencillo y automatizado, no se puede cambiar nada. Pero si descargan el epson scan 2, funciona mejor

I was surprised it had to be imported from USA and took a little longer than expected to get delivered Having said that, the unit is very easy to set up, download software, install, plug in usb and it worked no problem. Very pleased with results and happy with purchase. One thing though, I went to register g/tee, will not let me choose country only USA?

Works like a charm and easy to use. Took a little while to setup with software download but got it done
