Amazing
Awesome quality for the price. I've tried several different types of glass pens and this is my favourite. It's mid range in price but excellent quality and seems more robust than most. It's beautifully balanced and looks particularly beautiful. It writes and draws a graceful, smooth, fluid line, possibly not quite as fluid as a J Herbin pen but it's a stronger nib than that pricier one. It also comes in a good strong box with foam lining which is great for taking it out and about into the landscape where I do most of my drawing. It's the only glass pen I've come across with a glass support, similar to a chopstick rest, which is a real bonus and means that you don't have to leave the pen standing in your water jar (which is how my J Herbin pen broke on it's second use).

Lovely pen, writes well
Bought as a gift for my partner. Lovely design/pattern, I chose the clear rather than coloured centre piece. Writes well and perfect to use to test out ink colours. Have to be super cautious when using as it is quite delicate.

Excellent dip pen
This is the first glass dip pen I've ever tried, and it's been a revelation. I may well buy more of these, since they are cheaper and unlikely to be any better than the branded glass pens. Being left-handed, I struggle with dip nibs, which never feel right to me for either drawing or writing. The loaded glass nib is beautifully smooth on the paper (any slightly rough areas will wear down with use) and the spiral grooves hold rather more ink than the average metal nib, making it easier to maintain a work flow. Being glass, the pen does require a light touch in use (you can't draw or write quickly), and careful cleaning afterwards. The handle is beautifully balanced in the hand.I tried a range of artist inks and several fountain pen inks. Acrylic and watercolour inks (Liquitex acrylic and DR Aquafine) don't suit the nib so well; they seem a touch too viscous, being heavily pigmented. Shellac based inks seem very smooth however, and the small number of fountain pens inks I own are also good with the pen. If you want to try a modern iron gall ink like the KWZ line, you can do so without the risk of corrosion to metal parts when you leave gall ink in a fountain pen too long.

I really wanted this to work!
I have watched tutorials and researched how to use this pen and still couldn't get the hang of it.It looks beautiful but not at all easy to use. Perhaps I got a bad batch? The ink does not flow, I was struggling to write a whole word. I had to re-dip too often and sometimes no ink flows at all. 2 days in and the tip broke while I was mixing the ink with the pen, but that was me being too rough with it!I really wanted this to work...

Beautiful in appearance and in use.
This is beautiful to look at and so would make a wonderful gift.I compared it with an ordinary dip pen, that also had an ink reservoir attached, and the glass pen actually lasted longer before needing to be dipped again in ink.Very impressed and will definitely purchase again when, inevitably (I am very clumsy!), I will need to buy a new one :D

Maybe its ink error
when i first started using it, the inked flowed well and lasted a good amount of time, but after a thorough clean, it has progressively gotten worse. After a few minutes youre only able to write a few letters.I have not been scientific about it, but it would seem the ink progressively clogs the creases. But the biggest issue for me, when comparing to traditional dip pens, might actually be a bonus for other people, but i have found with this that you dont get happy little accidents. i like the random quirks and spits from a traditional pen, this glass one produces perfectly even lines, in which case i might as well buy a regular pen.

Lovely
It's not an exaggeration to say this is beautiful. Packaging attractive too. Buy some posh ink and it makes a lovely present for a crafty person.

The slot for the pen is too short and the tip snapped off when I put the pen back into the box.
The slot for the pen is too short. This resulted in the fragile and delicate tip just snapped off when I put the item back into the box after first use. So that, if you try to put the pen back into the box, you are destined – without even realising it! – to apply that minimal amount of pressure sufficient to break the tip. Obviously, a protective cup could’ve helped but it was not there.Even that was not entirely my fault, I did not feel that it was the right thing to return the item. What a waste of £9.90!
