First off: pasta pots are meant to be big, because to make good pasta you need to use lots and lots of water! This pan is quite big and can also be used as a stock pot (the basket is convenient for lifting out bones etc). I also use it to make rice using a rice ball*, for which you need a tall pan and, again, lots of water. So this pan is going to get a lot of use, one way or another.The pan is well made with a thick base, which is great for a stock pot and means it should do well with induction cooking and on an Aga. The basket sits properly low, just off the bottom. The glass lid is also useful, and is ventilated (and on its own would cost maybe half as much as the pot itself). The pan has whopping handles making them easy to grasp through gloves/towel.Verdict: generally good all round functionality, of solid construction, so should last a long time and get lots of use.*Some years ago, in a Sunday magazine review of all the different equipment for making rice, one well known cooking expert opined that the rice ball is still the best. I bought one shortly after, then only for a fiver,  Rice Ball coocker s/s 13.5cm dia Mirror polish Guaranteed quality and have never regretted it, it is so easy to use and just keeps on making perfect rice, so I guess she was right!

What a pot the Judge JA80 Pasta Pot is!It's a mighty fine piece of modern day engineering, built perfectly using only the finest materials. The Judge JA80 Pasta Pot cooks said pasta perfectly, and I wouldn't be without it.For those that eat pasta, buy one.

The potvis very well designed, the holes at the bottom of the drainer are actually smaller than the holes on the side, that is why it can cook spaghetti without them falling through (I didn't know this before purchasing); the drainer's handles are just above the pot, so that they can stand next to eachother.The quality is very good, better than those other post I bought before. It is a great buy, very happy. Highly recommended.

We received the pasta cooking pot and follow the manufacturers instruction to wash prior to use. After using the pan to cook one batch of pasta and washing it for photo shows severe discolouration. We are not happy

Used this for some months now, it is a lovely Pasta pot, easy cleaned and does the job perfectly. Not a bad price as well.
