This journal is fantastic, it's better than I expected, and at such a great price!The leather is thick and 100% real, (smells amazing too)The paper is thick and textured.And the whole journal has an amazing antiqued genuine aesthetic that I simply just love.I only wish the pen that was included had black ink, not blue, but it's a nice pen regardless and I'm more than happy with this purchase.

I was pleasantly surprised by this journal, it looked nice but it is really beautiful once you hold it! The leather binding feels great, it is thick with lots of paper and refillable. A good size. The pen is the only thing that's sort of basic but minor gripe. I think this would make a fantastic gift for someone that enjoys writing or even sketching as the paper is unlined and nice for pencil or pen sketches.

I bought this for a friend for her birthday, and she absolutely loved it. It's a very earthy, rustic-looking journal/sketchbook that anyone can use at a really great price point. My friend also commented on how much she liked the packaging as well as the pen that was included.

I purchased several and this journal was hands down my favorite in terms of quality and size (I bought a slightly larger similar looking one but this one is really the spot-on best size!) I got the more expensive package with the box and the pen. That was a mistake. The box is cheap looking, certainly not worth any extra money and the pen is awful. It doesn’t match the rustic-ness of the journal, has a pull off cap that is SO hard to pull off and will be easily lost and it is just a real cheapie one in general. I did like the journal itself.

The only thing this doesn't provide that I need is a pocket inside the flap for drafting supplies and a larger size, I really need this in a standard 8.5 x 11 page size or so. Otherwise this is one of the nicest and most comment generating pieces of leather I have ever owned. My wife has already laid claim to it as soon as I find some suitable replacement with the size and pouch I need...

The journal is great , wonderful leather , pages feel .....old timey ...delivery was quick ..packaging was great .... however the pen sucks ....big time , someone asked in a previous comment how to remove the pen lid ...and was responded "with your fingers" . This is not the case , you cannot easily insert the ink cartridge due to the tip lid being cheap and either crossthreaded or just stuck . I used pliers and a rubber grip and just ended up ruining the tip and therefore just decided because the journal was legit buying another 15 dollar pen . Fix the pen , raise the price a few bucks and then you will have a great product !!! Just an opinion .
