Spot on
I was reluctant to spend the additional money on this more expensive rig, but am very pleased I did.I use a chest mounted GoPro for mountain biking in the Lake District, and the chest mount I had before seemed to exaggerate the shake badly, so I decided to invest in this based on the reviews I had read.It fits closely and tightly to the body with far superior straps, positions the camera far better, allows for varied angles with its ball joint and does, as others have claimed, reduce camera shake. The plastic plate is comfortable and offers protection in a fall. I took a dive into a rock garden recently and got a sharp rock in my chest, but both the camera and I survived with light bruising; The camera case would certainly have caused damage to my chest without the plate.Great bit of kit, well worth the extra money

Great - can't fault it!
Before I bought this I did my research, which included watching lots of MTB footage ranging from terrible helmet-mounted stuff to brilliant chest-gimbal-mounted. The two things that stood out were that it's essential to get a cam with built-in stabilisation (e.g. GoPro 5 or better), and the best chest mount is this one. From the reviews I watched it's clearly better than GoPro's own, and from my own experience I can confirm that it's very stable. If only my MTB skills were as good as my GoPro footage! If you have a decent cam you won't need a gimbal unless you are very finicky or a pro.I use it with my GoPro Hero 2018 (same as Hero 5 Black apart from firmware, which can be upgraded) and it works brilliantly. The harness is much bigger, heavier and sturdier than I thought from the photos, including the sticking-out bit that holds the camera - that's not a criticism, I was pleasantly surprised. I wear it over my Dainese Rhyolite 2 Jacket and with a small hydration backback without any problem, it doesn't feel too restrictive - barely adding to the jacket's chest pressure. The harness is easy to adjust and fits me well without digging in anywhere (I am 1.75m (5' 9"), 40" chest), the double ball-jointed camera mount stays put yet is very easy to adjust while wearing the mount, I can't really fault it and definitely recommend it. I can't believe it's so cheap!

Perfect product ..stops any wobble ..
This has to be the most important addition to my videography kit.. It's amazing.. I totally trust it.. My camera does not wobble around, it holds it firmly so my filming is now hands free and WOBBLE free... I use it nearly everytime I go out.. I am disabled and its the only chestie which actually does its job properly, securely and wobble free.. Has made all the difference to the videos.. As good as a cheap gimbal woukd make.. Excellent value, perfect product..

Strong, comfortable the best choice out there.
Bought to mount a wearable gimble with GoPro 5. Brilliant. Tried the seeker backpack, GoPro 3-way and have seen many reviews about GoPro chesty but none of them consider gimble users and as such are not strong enough. The stuntman harness feels strong. Wide, thick straps and a good stable mount, able to take plenty of weight. While using it on my bike at 100mph it performed excellently.

A high quality steady harness.
Very sturdy, and stays much more steady than the standard GoPro harness. One star deducted as I wanted the camera+gimbal to be centred over the chest plate in case of impacts. I made some alterations that got close to the solution I wanted, and indeed it faired well in a crash. Still, would be good to have an option where the mounting point is higher up the chest plate. Also, this is harder to get into than the standard gopro one.

Stable footage
I like to do time lapse photography and wanted to get some hyperlapse footage of some of the local forest walks. With the GoPro mount my footage turned out shaky in the vertical axis as just walking was enough to make my gimbal bounce. With the stuntman mount my gimbal is very sturdy and the footage is very smooth, even when climbing over fallen trees and other obstacles.

Great quality, well designed product.
I love it when something is well designed and built with quality materials and then sold for a reasonable price. Holds my camera with wearable gimbal attached a lot more securely and steadier than the original camera makers overpriced rubbish. I look forward to seeing what else this company brings out.

Comfortable
Comes with lots of different attachment fittings and is very comfortable to wear. I have used this on my mountain bike and it didn't restrict me at all. Just make sure that the fasteners are good and tight.

Great product and customer service
Purchased a chest mount through Amazon but it arrived broken. Reached out to Stuntman directly, sent some photos, and they sent replacement pieces for it immediately. I can now use this chest mount problem-free while biking, hiking, and snowboarding. It is comfortable to use and helps capture nice, stable videos.

Best Chest Strap Out There!!
I bought this chest strap to take with me on my trip to Costa Rica next week so I don’t really have much field testing with it. I can however review it from a running point of view and a from a gimbal mount point of view. I have the flimsy chest strap that comes in all those eBay package deals and those are terrible when running and you can’t mount a gimbal to it without it flopping all over the place. The Stuntman mount is very secure. The ‘soft plastic’ they advertise is really a somewhat flexible rigid plastic. It’s nice because it doesn’t dig into your chest, probably the reason they made it. But it’s definitely hard enough to where it will hold a GoPro or gimbal very steady. The straps themselves are well built and about twice as thick as the cheap one I already have. When I put the thing on it also just fits better and feels much more secure. The mount is also much more versatile in that you can adjust where you’d like to have the camera or gimbal sitting. I’ve always thought that RAM Mount should build one of these and the Stuntman crew beat them to it. But if you’ve owned a RAM mount the mounting mechanism is similar. So you can crank that mount down and it won’t move at all. If there’s something to be said about RAM mounts it’s that they are tough and steady, this is just like that!Testing:1) I ran with this having my GoPro Hero 5 and there was no bouncing around at all. You can’t even feel the GoPro on there which is so nice. The chest strap also doesn’t look as weird as my cheap one for some reason?...maybe because it fits better.2) I hooked up my Feiyu Tech gimbal to the mount and you could tell it was on there when the GoPro was attached to it. But it wasn’t flopping all over the place. I was doing jumping jacks and running up/down stairs and it was a little heavy but the gimbal is a little heavy so I’d expect that. The gimbal would be perfect for when I’m mountain biking where there is a lot of jarring.Overall I give this 5 stars. It’s worth the $$ if you’re doing any rigorous activity or need to hook up a gimbal. Great job Stuntman team, I will recommend this to anyone who will listen. And I’m not paid for the review or have any association with Stuntman.
