Due to the batteries compartment not being fitted with a screw, it could be a choking hazard so it would be recommended for use in children’s rooms. In our house it is used in the living room and makes the space look cozy and homely. Overall it was a good purchase. Does what it claims, it is a good value for money and no problems so far, therefore I would recommend this item!

**Q: Seems a lot of reviews that no remote control is being sent with the lights as this is the only reason  i would purchased these lights so bit cautious**
A: So .... if you order the 2x pack the lights will come with the remotes and also with light intensity settings, seven different settings to be precise. If you only order a single light then it will come with no remote and only have one light setting which is just “ON”. This is not made clear in the description anywhere which I think is ridiculous.

**Q: Hi ,the spec states a battery box but reviews left say it’s usb charged vie laptop**
A: I bought the ones with a battery box which takes 3 AA  batteries which are not supplied. There is another USB option.  The  battery option are fine for my purpose  and really effective. Have bought 3 lots so far and am pleased with them.

**Q: The remote controls supplied seem only yo turn them on. None of the ither buttons seem to work. Am i missing something?**
A: Mine didn't come with a remote control only annon if switch where the batteries go hope this helps

**Q: How do you open the battery compartment**
A: press down on compartment where it says 'OPEN' and slide the lid in the direction of the attached wire. It slides off easily.

I was pleasantly surprised by how long the battery lasts, even when using cheaper battery brands. They arrived well-packaged and work flawlessly. They look awesome—highly recommend!

I wanted USB powered fairy lights. However most/all of those have the same gadget that provides 8 lighting modes. The default being an annoying flashing mode. The desired mode must be reselected each time they are powered up. These battery powered fairy lights have no such additional electronics, other than a single resistor.
