Can this be used neat on a pillowcase at bedtime?

I would advise putting a few drops on a handkerchief and popping that inside the pillowcase as close contact with skin or eyes could irritate. I hope this helps.

Is this cruelty free and or vegan?

It is certainly NOT tested on animals (logo on label) and unless you feel that somehow it is cruel to farm pepper mint (a naturally occurring plant) you are pretty much in the clear. The fine detail of what is and is not vegan these days baffles me, but I cannot see why in all honesty it is not vegan friendly
