Does exactly what it's supposed to with the minimum of faff.
I saw one of these pop-up in a different guise on Insta so checked Amazon and they had them here. I needed to re-position four hinges on two wardrobe doors as I am re-purposing the old cabinets. FYI there is no 'instruction manual' supplied but the Amazon product video says it all. Its modifiable depending on door thickness for the clamp as well as the main hole-depth (normally around 8-9mm). When you try & match the hole depth take into account the drill tip length. The supplied Allen key allows you to lock the shaft depth via a small lockable collar. The copper washer goes between that and the main unit plate. The long thin supplied drill bit is for prepping the standard hinge-plate screw locations and you drill through the holes in the two knurled nuts each side of the main drill bit to give you the screw locations for the hinge-plate. It worked first time for me and I'm not a chippy by any stretch of the imagination. Its a solid bit of kit that does the job inexpensively, hence five stars from me.

Great piece of kit that allows for accurate holes
I’ve just finished cutting 72 holes and have another 72 planned and feel confident that I won’t need another dowel jig for a long time. This jig allows for accurate holes to be cut, time after time, and is much more accurate than the super cheap, plastic jigs (which is what I bought first and was useless). This jig is very sturdy and well made, and gives you a few different options and ways to use it.It comes with the relevant wood cutting drill bits, which were actually better made than some Bosch bits I was going to use. There are some gripes which prevent it being a 5 start product.1) No instructions included. Granted it’s not hard to figure out, but instructions wouldn’t have gone a miss and would definitely benefit some DIYers.2) There’s a measure on the side which goes up to 4.5cm. This is useful as you set half the width of the wood and can cut central holes. However 4.5cm being on the side implies the jig can open up to accommodate wood up to 9cm, which is not the case. The biggest piece of wood you can fit in the jig is 5.5cm in width. Not that you’d often need to drill holes in a 55mm width of wood, but I’ll be using it to cut off-centre holes in 45mm width wood and it’s about 1mm too small (not an issue for my use case though). There might be a way to take it apart to accommodate larger pieces, but with no instructions I’m not sure. It should say somewhere on the item page the largest piece of wood it can accept.3) It’s not the easiest thing to clamp down. It’s a bit of a weird shape and took a bit of creative thinking with window packers, scrap wood, and camps to get it solidly in place so it wouldn’t budge between pieces of wood.Despite what I’ve mentioned, I would definitely recommend this jig. You might get away with one of the cheap plastic ones if you’re doing some rough, quick work, but I had a lot holes to drill and needed something to help me cut accurately over and over again.

Good quality, but in the picture was diffrent opener. When my habd allways pained,,the long wrench i choised 10 pound extra. And only they sended to mez,the 10 pound less little opener. Its cane fast. But what i see in picture i want buy, not diffrent staff... Not exactly as pictured and limited usage.
The drill stops are made of metal and not brass as pictured. Overall the device feels sturdy, but the workflow is not so fluid and smooth as I would expect. The adjustment ring is very hard to turn. What is the biggest let down, is the fact, that 6mm and 10mm guide bushings are only 1 each. Why they couldn't be 3 of each as the 8mm?Also I don't quite get it, why this device is very focused for edge drilling. While it is possible to drill on side of board, it's rather cumbersome. Maybe sometimes is really better to copy the bigger brands, instead of coming up with something ''new''.
