I keep the open jar in the fridge and it has kept well for months. **Q: What is the drained weight? when you read the back it says net weight 500g that cant be right? As the jars are 600g** A: Yes - I think that the drained weight of the cherries in the 1.25kg tin was 500g of cherries (which is what it says on the label) **Q: Is there any difference between these and the one in the fancy glass jar?** A: Not sure which jar you mean, if you are comparing with the bright red cherries in a watery liquid you are well off the mark.
