The Water Babies - Digitally Remastered [DVD] [2016]

what can I say.... I watched this when I was like 10 I think and the water babies cartoon section and the jigsaw have always stayed in my head. I bought this despite knowing whether I would like it or not still and played soon as received. played 3 times since and loved every bit of it and I am now 40+ so still has attention power. superb quality really can not say how happy I am after 30 years finding something I had thought lost forever. this goes with my growing collection of media memorabilia I have been collecting over the years. just look at what I have bought

The idea of having the central fantasy part of the film in cartoon form was interesting but the result was too brash, hectic, sub Tom and Jerry style, and quite out of kilter with the framework narrative in which the acting was fun, although a little over the top. Best to read Charles Kingsley's book.

I first saw this when I was little and my brother and myself used to sing this back which used to irritate my Mother to no end, it has one of those classic annoying but hugely catchy songs you can't help sing along too, has classic villains and a child hero who saves the day in many ways after finding himself. Having read the books when I was older I still love this film and will be watching it with my brother soon to re-live those by gone days of childhood

It is a great film and brought back lots of happy memories from being a child. Story is suitable for all children and teaches children to be kind, thinking of others.

bought for my niece, with her watching every new film was hard to find something she hadn't seen, so went back in time and presto, the oldies still entertain, the graphics are old and it shows but it's a great kids story and she loved it.

One of the best kids films out there... very undervalued for some reason... Has a feeling of goodness involved with it.

Loved this since I was a kid. Didn't think I would be able to find it but as always Amazon saved the day.A great film to match a classic book.

This is a really wonderful film and a ' must watch ' for children and adults alike.A wonderful mixture of real-life and animation.Excellent performances by James Mason, Bernard Cribbons, Billie Whitelaw and a great cast.Brilliantly directed by Lionel Jeffries.High Cockalorum !Pure magic . . . .
