You don't usually find those two features together. Several years ago when Fit Flops hit the market there was only one place in town to buy them, they were kind of plain, and always at the listed price which seemed high for sandals. But they felt so good, I had to have them. I'm glad they are available everywhere, at lower prices, and in really fun colors with special details. I love the little ruffle at the top of these.I've had trouble finding comfortable shoes all of my adult life due to foot and back problems. I've been told to have good support and wear a little heal. I wear these day after day and walk a lot on pavement. No problem.I don't know how many pairs of Fit Flops I own. I always get compliments on them and enjoy running into other happy owners.The European sizing has always given me trouble in shoes. The narrower foot bed of the newer "fancier" designs fits me just perfectly, and because they run a little large, I know a size 7 will fit my 7.5 feet beautifully. I suffered from plantar fasciitis for years, plus bad knees, hips, and back (thanks to all those years of being a dancer and waitress), and I work on my feet - FitFlops have totally saved me. I did not like the material of the design on the top. It seemed stiff and and more like vinyl material. It does not seem like it would hold up.
