Why USB 2.0 when 3.0 and later have been around so long?

Well, you can also buy a USB2 to USB C Hub

Can i use a 65w power adapter that connects usb-c to power on dual drives in it? if not, what is the max wattage i can use to power the enclosure?

There's not really a "max" USB-C wattage. The USB-C power delivery spec requires devices to "negotiate" with chargers to draw only the wattage they need.

Support samsung 870 qvo sata iii ssd 8tb and crucial 4tb p3 plus nvme pcie 4.0 m.2?

IT will only support the nvme drive ad pcie gen 3 speeds, but they should work. Make sure you have the hub plugged into a USB-C power source in addition to the host USB-C, or else drives will be ejected when the computer goes to sleep.

Nvme slot was working fine till i plugged in a ssd. now the nvme slot doesn't work even with the ssd out. anybody else run into this?

Do you have a USB-C power adapter plugged into the second USB-C port? I think this is required in order to use two drives.
