The color is spectacular, it's like putting butter on your lips, it lasts a long time even after drinking, I highly recommend it.

I am very pale and cool skin tone with dark hair. I was honestly a little afraid to try this. I normally avoid darker lip liner looks, I feel like it's very harsh with my whole natural aesthetic. I was also worried because it did not seem like the colors available here would play well with my skin tone. I love a bold red but, I tend to avoid any kind of browns or brown tones as they all seem to be too warm and not work well at all with my complexion and hair color. I was genuinely very surprised by this. The dark liner looked incredible with my skin tone and gently patting it with my finger to help blur it out a tiny bit. After applying it really enhanced my lip shape and gave me some extra plumping I didn't even know my lips were capable of. The lipstick is matte and kind of dry. The color is not my usual, it is a little more ashy cool toned so it worked well with my complexion. I didn't feel comfortable in it immediately, but it did look incredible. I would not wear it alone, it dried down quickly but it's very liquidy while applying. But it's opaque and buildable. So for me just one light layer was enough. The gloss is definitely the All-Star of this product. It is not sticky. It is very hydrating, So it works incredible over the drying matte base. I wear it alone all the time too. If I am not eating and drinking, it honestly stays on for a very long time and does not smudge around. However, I noticed when I wore it to work it was all over my coffee cup and I needed to reapply multiple times throughout the day. I did not try it with eating after that because I didn't want it to get all over my food. Would be kind of difficult to wear for a dinner date or lunch date or something like that without doing the Peggy Hill SharkBite technique. I had also bought this in the rest of the colors because I did like how my original purchase looked. I ended up giving them to my sister who is a very dark complexion with darker features and it looked incredible on her. It did not look great on me and the other ones were too warm. I would also like to explain that the swatches and examples were more accurate on her skin tone. When I had tried them on myself, they looked absolutely nothing like the swatches and examples. But that is the risk with makeup because colors and tones can really change up depending on the person they're on. I cannot blame the product for that, just wanted to throw it out there. Overall, my main takeaway is that the Haut Cocoa on my cool light complexion was not nearly as warm as the photos And also did not look like the swatches in the ad. The combination all together looked great, the gloss is great for all the time not sticky very hydrating the lipstick itself is very liquidy and drying and matte. It comes off on cups and probably food. My chosen color was probably the best for similar skin tones.

I was expecting more from this product. It doesn’t really math my skin tone like they advertised and the liner is not good quality. The gloss is amazing but the liquid lipstick feels like dry concealer on my lips and not in a good way. I will not be buying this type of product from sheglam ever again.
