BoomCloud 360 Boomstick in-Line Wired Headphone Pyschoacoustic Portable Audio Enchancer Amp and Signal Processor - Black

I wasn't really in the market for an amplifier, I'm not an audiophile at all. However, on a recent trip a guy next to me on the plane had a compact amplifier & it peaked my interest. Does an amplifier really make that big a difference, that you would pack a in your carry on? I still never got one, but a few days ago I was watching a YouTube video & the subject of a Scalar Audio Amplifier came up. This again revived my interest in amplifiers. I started reading online about them & decided to see how much they cost. Seeing how wildly the price difference can be. I ran across the BoomStick & after reading the reviews & given the price, I figured it was worth a shot. Best decision I could have made! This little extremely affordable in line amplifier makes a HUGE difference! I am in utter disbelief that such a little device can clean up & bring to life any audio you play through it! Highly recommend the BoomStick!

I have this paired with a pair of Skullcandy Crushers and the sound is absolutely perfect. I've had this for about six months now and not only does it make music sound incredible but movies are impeccable. I feel like I'm wearing a movie theater wrapped around my head. The BoomStick also adds a nice noise cancelation to the headphones as well. Even at half volume I cannot hear anything going on outside of my headphones, no screaming kids, no barking dog, no nagging wife...nothing. I am the product of a bass player/DJ and have been an audiophile for about 26 years now. I've spent thousands on different audio setups and have tried almost every headphone imaginable. Nothing beats a $5K Bose sound system setup in the home but when it comes to headphones this little BoomStick (I paid $12 for it) and Skullcandy Crushers (I paid $50 on sale) crushes (see what I did there?) the competition. It is also a lot easier to haul around than a traditional headphone amplifier and I get about 10-12 hours of straight playback on a single charge (still 6 months later).

I like this a lot, it increases the volume noticeably on my GoGear Vibe and also when using a "rockstar" adapter in the class (if you don't know - it's an adapter so five people can all listen to the same thing on five different headsets - pretty helpful). My students would say they couldn't hear it, I plugged one of these into the computer then plug the adapter into it and they give me the thumbs up. I ended up getting 3 of them, they don't hold a charge for an incredibly long time but long enough - nice to have one to swap it out with though in case I forget to charge it.

I bought this amplifier hoping it would make listening to classical music on long flights more enjoyable and that’s what it did. I use an iPod Nano and a pair of high quality noise cancelling headphones when flying, but the relatively low recording levels used for classical music coupled with age-related hearing loss meant that I was missing details even with the volume near its upper limit. This device proved a remarkably effective and affordable solution to my problem. The BoomStick’s combination of amplification and equalization allowed me to hear much more in the music. The sound was clear and smooth with good presence and separation of the instruments. The soundstage was flatter with the BoomStick on, however. It was as if the musicians were sitting shoulder to shoulder across the stage, but soundstage presentation is never a strong feature of closed headphones in any case - the trade for more detail is worth it. An unexpected advantage of using the BoomStick was much lower battery drain on the iPod. One thing I would change about this amplifier concerns the button with turns on the sound enhancement. It is too sensitive and turns off with very slight pressure, which happened a few times accidentally during a recent flight.

I saw this product on a YouTube video and ordered it because the guy said that it would be something that would enhance the bass on my music I can't really say it does that much it didn't really feel that amazing all it really did was higher the volume by like a tiny bit

It didn't do anything in the car, but on some good headphones or a stereo system it does wonders. I mostly use it on the stereo, without it the music doesn't bump as much. With it on and set to boost mode it shakes the whole house. Perfect. Only thing upsetting is when it dies in the middle of a song and you gotta go back to how it was before, luckily that doesn't happen a lot even with extended use.

I was looking for a way to boost the volume of my race scanner for NASCAR races. The cars are so loud with the headsets on, I could not make out what people were saying with the volume full blast. This item worked perfectly, it most definitely amplified the sound over the noise of the cars. Full volume of the scanner is 15, with this boom stick attached, I turned the volume to 7. Item needs to be charged prior to using, but it comes with USB type cord, you just need to use a cell phone wall plug, not included. For $8, much better than buying $150 + headsets.
