Herein Is Love, Vol. 3: Leviticus

I am a homeschool mom and was looking for a Bible study to help my kids through some of the more difficult books for me to teach. I came across this book, and thought I would give it a shot. I really like it. My kids have learned so much about Leviticus. It has the chapters in the front that explain different aspects of Leviticus and relate it to the New Testament. Then there are questions in the back to elicit repetition of topics discussed and some more discussion. This is Bible study, both Old and New Testament, and theology in one. The theology doesn't seem particularly leaning in any direction. (I often have issues, since we are Methodist, of some books leaning a little too far toward Calvin for my liking.) I absolutely recommend this book. My kids that did this study with me are 8, 7, and 5. Older kids would appreciate this, as well. But even the 5 year old got a lot out of it. (He can tell you from memory what the steps to becoming a priest are.) I rarely like a Bible Study this much.

We love this book along with the rest of the Herein is Love series. We highly recommend these for children's bible study or part of homeschool history study. My children have reread them on their own just because of the way Ganz uses insightful description and thoughts at their level of understanding.

Not your typical. Wonderful commentary that helped my sixth and seventh grader in our Biblical History class this year. Mrs. Ganz clearly writes with a heart for the LORD and a desire for children to come to know Him as the Gracious, Merciful, and Benevolent God that He really is. Highly recommend this entire "Herein is Love" book series. :-)

Didn't think there were children's commentaries this well done out there- so glad I found these books!

This is well written and appropriate for my 11 year old daughter. She enjoys reading all of the Nancy Ganz commentaries, and I find them to be true to Christian beliefs as well.

The subtitle indicates a commentary for children. I find it helpful to read as an adult. I intend to give it to my daughter to use with her children.

This is a wonderful commentary series. I read it aloud to our children, and I am learning a lot right along with them. We have read Genesis, Exodus, and are currently on Leviticus. So far we like Genesis the best. A very meaty series. I have purchased the Genesis commentary for adult relatives and friends of mine, and they have enjoyed it as well.
