Plug-and-Play Perfection on My Surface
I picked this up to connect my Microsoft Surface to an external monitor, and it just works. Plugged in the USB-C end, connected to the HDMI port on the display, and the Surface recognized it immediately with no driver installation or fiddling required. The cable is listed as compatible with the Surface lineup, and that compatibility holds up in practice. The image came through clean and sharp at 4K, no flickering, no signal drops. The nylon braiding feels solid and the aluminum connectors seat firmly without any wobble, which matters if you're plugging and unplugging regularly at a desk. One thing worth noting: this cable supports 4K at 30Hz, not 60Hz. That's clearly stated in the listing and is a real distinction if you're planning to use it for fast-motion gaming on an external display. For productivity, presentations, video streaming, and general desktop use on a Surface, the output looks great and I've had zero issues. The length is generous enough to route from a laptop to a monitor without the cable pulling taut. Build quality feels like it exceeds the price point. The 24-month warranty is a reasonable backstop too. Surface users looking for a no-fuss, reliable USB-C to HDMI cable should be happy with this one.

Reliable high speed connection for crystal clear video and audio display
This cable works perfectly for connecting a laptop, tablet, or phone directly to a larger monitor or television screen. The picture quality is absolutely flawless, delivering a crystal clear resolution with vibrant colors and zero lag or stuttering during video playback. The six foot length is ideal for a clean desk setup or home entertainment system without leaving a messy pile of slack. The braided outer jacket feels incredibly durable and protects the wire from bending or fraying over time.

Reliable, High-Performance USB-C to HDMI Cable
As part of my setup, I rely on USB-C to HDMI cables frequently for both work and personal use. After testing the UANTIN USB-C to HDMI Cable (6Ft) extensively with multiple devices, I found it to be a reliable, well-engineered solution that consistently delivers on its advertised performance. Build Quality: The cable has a sturdy, premium feel with reinforced connectors that seat firmly without wobble. The 6-foot length provides flexibility for both desk setups and living room use while avoiding excess slack. The outer jacket is durable and resists tangling, which makes it suitable for travel as well as stationary setups. Performance: In my testing, the cable successfully transmitted 4K video at 60Hz with accurate color reproduction and no visible artifacts, lag, or signal drops. Audio passthrough worked seamlessly across all test devices. Switching between displays was smooth, and the connection was recognized immediately without the need for additional drivers or configuration. Compatibility: I tested this cable with: MacBook Air (M2) → 4K external monitor iPhone 15 Pro → 4K TV Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra → HDMI projector iPad Pro 12.9" → 4K monitor In each scenario, the cable performed consistently, which highlights its broad compatibility with Thunderbolt 3/4/5 and standard USB-C devices. Use Cases: Extending a laptop to a secondary monitor for productivity Streaming video content from mobile devices to a TV Running presentations directly from a phone or tablet to a projector Conclusion: The UANTIN USB-C to HDMI Cable is a high-quality, dependable accessory that lives up to its specifications. It offers strong build quality, excellent 4K/60Hz video output, and wide device compatibility. For anyone seeking a single cable solution for home, office, or travel, this is a product I would recommend with confidence.

Great Cable, but hard to review.
I am updating this review. Here is my original with some follow up notes: I use this to connect a MacBook Air to a 4k TV. It works great in every respect. No problems whatsoever. Previously I tried a USB C to HDMI adapter but it did not work. If that's the use case you are shopping for, skip the adapter and just buy this. Works great with my MacBook Air to a 4k TV. Follow up: This cable is hard to review. There are a mix of issues given that it is HDMI to USBC\Thunderbolt. I have two of these cables. The first I purchased to connect from a Mac (USB C) to a 1440p 100hz LG display. The HDMI to USB C on my Mac worked perfectly in this case. Absolutely ideal. Per this last review, I purchased it to connect my MacBook Air to a TV - it worked flawlessly after havingtouble with a USBC to HDMI adapter. I then moved that cable to connect a different LG high res \ refresh rate to my newer M4 Air. Disaster. It was low color at 30hz to get the right resolution. I ended up switching this over to an HDMI cable to USBC adapter which works much better. Ultimately this comes down the endless sea of HDMI specifications - of which there are so many it is out of hand. This cable might work fantastic for you, it might not work well at all. The cable itself is well made and high quality. It all comes down to whether or not a specific HDMI implementation will work with it. There is not way to test this in advance. Outside of the, it is a good cable and I stand by it.

Works mostly just Some lag. Potential failure. EASY plugged in and worked.
Update Jan 26 2026: The unit worked for a week and then we didn’t use it for 3. Plugged it in and nothing happened. Unit was just dead. Ordered a replacement and it worked like it did originally so I’m sure it was the cable and not the tv or computer. However, the one I got in December had black plastic at the usb and hdmi connections and now in January it is red. So they must have made a new model? Hope it lasts longer than the first! Keeping 4 stars (original rating) because even though it died I got a new one next day and it works. Original post: First time using something like this. Plugged it into my iMac 2020 27” usb-c port and into the tv and it worked instantly! Super simple! Looks great and feels high quality. Update: not sure if it is the computer (2020 iMac 27”) or the cable, but the lag is too big for video games. If looking at the computer while playing there is no lag so it’s something to do with casting to the tv, either the GPU or this cable. I tested on 2 tvs and am sure it isn’t the tv. Great for most video uses or even some kids games where lag isn’t a problem but it’s between 1/4 and 1/2 a second which is pretty tough.

We were in a situation where we didn't have Internet it was our only day off and no way to steam the one day we planned to sit in and binge watch and relax before our work days. The Internet was out but our phones had service. We immediately went online and ordered this and viola! It worked like a charm! I love these! I now do not have to worry. N it has the braided wire so I don't worry about getting a short in the line. I tested it immediately. It took away that stress and we didn't get Internet until the next day. I will not ever be unprepared again. It was quick and easy. Just plug and watch! Thank goodness I have this!

Periodic blackouts not due to Pixel display mode, cable orientation, or display device
The bottom line: This USB-C to HDMI cable does not work reliably, at least on my Pixel 10 Pro: the HDMI display blacks out every few minutes. In contrast, the Anker Nano USB C to HDMI Cable Adapter displays a steady HDMI picture AND offers me the option of simultaneously charging my phone. I've returned the UANTIN cable. Here's some detail: * When I use the USB-C to HDMI cable, the HDMI display from my Pixel 10 Pro blacks out every 1-4 minutes, and the USB-C male plug often must be unplugged and re-plugged to restart the picture. I plan to order a similar cable from a different company in the next day or two, test it, and return this one. Hopefully, UANTIN will respond promptly with a cure, which I'll test to potentially save us both the trouble of the merchandise return. Here is my use case and the results of tests I've run using your cable. * My use case: I am connecting a Pixel 10 Pro cell phone to a display. The phone is in developer mode, so that I can select between two display modes: "Mirror" (a vertical display) and "Android Desktop" (a newly released desktop view). The displays on which I've tested are an Acer computer monitor that works flawlessly, and a Samsung television that also works without issue. * The display through the cable blacks out periodically on the Acer monitor whether I am running in Mirror mode or Android Desktop mode. So, the Google's display mode system / software is not the problem. Specifically, when the cell phone display is on in either display mode, then the monitor periodically blacks out and then recovers automatically after several (5-10) seconds. When the cell phone display itself blacks out (i.e., the display turns off to save battery) in either display mode, the monitor blacks out promptly. The monitor view recovers when the cell phone display is brought back to life (at least in Mirror mode; I don't have notes on the behavior in Desktop mode). * This blackout & recovery behavior occurs whether the USB-C end of your cable is plugged into the phone with the USB-C plug label up (relative to the cell phone display) or down (facing the back of the phone). So, the orientation of the USB-C cable is not the problem. * The display through the cable blacks out periodically on the Samsung TV whether I am running in Mirror mode or Android Desktop mode. So, the display device is not the problem. Interestingly, when the phone is in Mirror mode, the phone display is active, and the TV blacks out then the TV does not recover the cell phone picture automatically; I must remove the cable from the cell and replug it. * In sum, the Google display mode capability (Mirror vs. Desktop), the orientation of the cable (USB-C label up vs. label down), and the display (monitor vs. TV) are apparently not responsible the periodic blackouts on the HDMI display. So, I'm concluding that the cable is defective. * I'd welcome solutions in the next day or two. I'll return the cable after that. * Respectfully, J

Excellent cheap USBC > HDMI cable
This worked great for me. I give lots of presentations with my Macbook Pro and struggle to effectively connect to screens reliably. I normally use a USB C hub with loads of outputs and tend not to like casting or streaming. As a result I've had some tricky situations where displays have either not accepted the signal or have taken too long. I thought I'd buy a USB C > HDMI cable instead, with the logic that with only one function it might work better. And this is exactly what happened. I'm only using this to extend my desktop to another screen when doing work, and to hook up to large screens for presentation. My content has video as well and the audio seems to work fine too. No issues with picture or sound quality and the connection was very quick, none of the issues I'd encountered with my hub. The cable came in an (unnecessary) box, but I guess that means it is well packaged. The connections are metal with a braided / sheathed cable. I'm impressed with the quality and functionality, and on the basis that it works with my often picky Macbook, I'd say the compatibility is solid. I bought this when there was an offer, so about £6.50 and I am so impressed that I might buy another to stick in my bag as I think I might leave this hooked up to my screen on the desk.
