The Art of Conversation (Taoc Taoc) Review: Perfect IceBreaker! - We used the cards twice over a three day period as an icebreaker and fun time during a Technology Symposium where 21 scientists, engineers and executives were brought together, many of whom had not met previously. We used them in small break-out groups and then for the entire group. Too much fun / just the right amount of fun at the right time. Thank you - super product. Review: Just a stack of cards, but the questions are great. - They do suggest a few ways to use the cards, but we ended up just passing the cards around the room, letting the person with the cards choose the question to ask to the next in line. The best part about them were the questions. I researched every type of game/cards like this and settled on this one because of the reviews. I think I made a wise choice. I needed the cards because my family had a 13 year old relative come into town that we had never met. I wanted something where we could get to know each other without feeling silly or having embarrasing questions. We had an 8 year old playing all the way up to a 62 year old and we laughed and talked for a few hours, in the process we got to know each other a little better. I wanted some religious and values questions, and there were a few. I did NOT want any adult-only or embarrasing questions, and I was pleased to not find any. I highly recommend these cards for getting to know others. Some of the questions were a little personal, but that was what I was looking for (personal without embarrasing). I don't think I'd recommend these for a business setting because of that. Also, there are a lot of questions in the two decks, but this isn't something I'd want to play every night. Great for situational use, like I needed. They were exactly what I wanted.

Gets English students speaking
Calling it the 'art of conversation' is somewhat exagerated, I find many of the questions to be quite personal and others quite mundane, however overall, there is a large variety of questions and it is a fun way of getting a group of higher level English learners speaking on a variety of topics. I can also imagine it being a fun light-hearted game at family gatherings or with a group of friends to frivol away time.

A fun game with a group or played by only 2
A fun game with a group or played by only 2. My wife and I take it on trips and it helps with communication - gets us off of the normal topics of children, grandkids, work and health to other interesting things that spur discovery of our thoughts on a topic.

Nice product. Good content, nice box.
Much better & more sensible box than the goofy box with the Melissa & Doug Family Box of Dinner Questions. This is a smaller box so it fits better in a suitcase or backpack. There are several questions on each card so a person can select the one they prefer to talk about. I have been using them at school to work with a group of kids working on social language skills. I may be judging a product by the container, but I am an itinerant teacher, so I need small boxes that are sturdy and pack well, not silly gimmicky boxes. It means a lot to me.

Good for speaking activities
The biggest advantage of the Art of Conversation is the number of questions and the instruction manual containing the ideas on how to use the cards. Most of them are quite interesting, however, some of them could be more creative. In my opinion the price is too high. I expected better quality cards that could serve many years (as I am going to use it in my class).

Great for Sparking up a conversation with your children
My son, who never talks, went on and on over a question in this deck. In fact he was answering a lot of them. Good for kids with aspergers

Loved the questions. Real conversation starters for families or with couples. We brought it on our cruise and had lots of fun with it. One of the wives commented that she learned all kinds of new things that she never knew about her husband. You get 3 questions per card which is incredible (they could have just done 1 like other question games out there). Highly recommended rather than the usual small talk at the table. Hope they come out with another version. Will buy again.

Love the idea of three prompts per card, so students can choose one to discuss. Great questions.

I bought this because I wanted to discover more about my friends and family through a fun way of learning. The game comes with 300 questions on two packs of cards. Each card has 3 questions, the first question is an easier question to answer for example, ‘the funniest thing you’ve seen?’ The middle question could be ‘The best party you’ve held, been to or heard about?’ And then the third one, ‘how important are good manners and etiquette?’ There are rules of play included but I just went through the questions which I found more simpler and fun. So far I am half way through the first set of cards and I have been happy with the various questions. It's also great because a lot of the questions you would not of thought to of asked. I think that this would be excellent at dinner parties as it would spark lots of conversation amongst guests. I have included some photos so you can see exactly what you get. What really sells it for me is how compact the box is for taking around with you. I also thought that the price was just right.
