I purchased these to help open plastic bags at the grocery store; I am an 83 year old man with long but slender fingers that are too smooth on the tips to open a plastic bag These cots serve my purpose perfectly. However, they are tight on my fingers and thumb. My thumb is 1 inch across, and the finger I use these on is 3/4 inch across. The description incorrectly claims these cots are 1 inch in diameter and 2.6 inches long. Actual measurements are 5/8 inch diameter and 2 3/4 inches long.But, if you need to wear them only for a short time or do not mind the tightness: they are great

Very affordable for the amount you get, but they cut off the circulation on my thumbs. I don't have particularly large hands either. Can wear them longer than about 10 minutes at a time
