Grip is only on what side of the strap and it’s not really comfortable at all

I had never used straps before- didn't really need them. But now that my strength has increased by a lot over the last few years, I've gotten to the point that my grip can't handle the weight I want to use for certain exercises. My trainer recommended I pick up a pair of straps. These arrived, and I had no clue how to use them. They didn't come with any instructions on what to actually do with them or how they fasten or anything. Luckily, I could ask my trainer. I would imagine most people buying these already must know what they are doing- but I sure didn't!As for the product, they feel similar to the quality of other sorts of nylon, woven materials that are at my gym. I have no doubt they are strong enough to handle any possible weight I could ever imagine lifting. On the comfort side of things, I really don't have anything to compare them to. I don't know if eventually they could cause some uncomfortable chaffing or rubbing on my wrist area- who knows. Other brands could be scratchier, others could be softer. I'm kind of just a dabbler at this point but plan on getting some good use out of these.After a quick demo from my trainer, I was ready to try it on my own. I do think they will be a big help! I just need more practice getting the strap wrapped around the dumbbell when I've already got a dumbbell in my other hand. That was tricky. But I'll get more confident with it and will try a much heavier weight for my RDLs tomorrow at leg day #2.

I use these for dead weightlifting. Straps are durable and sturdy and seem like will last a while. They are also easy to put on. It gives me a better grip and the padding helps too.
