Review: Perfect fit and protection for the Expert! - Great case for the Kensington Expert mouse and wrist pad! It is a lightweight, sturdy, and durable hard-shell case that fits the mouse and pad just right. It is long, but that is due to the size of the mouse and wrist pad, but it does not add unnecessary bulk. Given that it is a trackball-style mouse, they had to accommodate the ball, so it does have a ball "bulge," making the case look a little funny, but it is necessary to conform to the shape. Given the bulge, you do want to make sure you put it right side down, or it will be uneven and wobbly when on a hard surface. The inside has a soft lining that is nice to the touch, will not scratch up the mouse, and adds a little extra protection. The mouse and pad slide really easily into and out of the case, and there is a mesh liner that holds it in place. The zipper is good quality - I think it is a little stiff, and you do have to line it up or you may have a little struggle, but it is made well and functions properly. It has a strap that makes for easy carrying and transport. Good value for the price and provides ease when storing or travelling with the mouse.

Before the pandemic, I was in an office where my desk had a key, so I kept a trackball in my desk and would get it out when I arrived at work. When the pandemic started, I worked from home and could use an Expert Mouse without any problem. But now that I’m back in the office part time and the building doesn’t have sufficient locker space, I have to transport my Expert Mouse back and forth and needed a protective case. I bought this case, and it’s a great hard case for the Expert Mouse. It is specifically made for the Expert Mouse, so you definitely get a great fit. My one long term concern is cable stress on my wired model, which wouldn’t be an issue at all with the Wireless Expert Mouse. I worry a little about the stress I’m putting on the cable near the base of it. It makes me wish Kensington had an Expert Mouse Pro similar to the Slimblade Pro that has a detachable cable and can operate wirelessly or via cable.

Great case for the Kensington Expert mouse and wrist pad! It is a lightweight, sturdy, and durable hard-shell case that fits the mouse and pad just right. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Case to Protect your Precision Tool! (Plus DYI Tip!)

I purchased my Kensington Trackball before I got this case. Big oversight, as I didn't see it when ordering the Trackball as it was rumbling around my photogear going to my daily shoots and edits. Very happy about that case and it seems to be very durable. Here's a little DYI improvement: The tiny latch in the back of the trackball, where the battery is and you store the USB receiver seems to be very flimsy. Since I would have to take the USB receiver in and out of the compartment, several times a day, I was afraid to fatigue it and break it off one day. So, I purchased some Velcro squares, Superglued the Velcro hooks into the case on the bottom corner, where is sufficient space when case is closed, and attacked the sticky side of the Velcro loops to the USB receiver. Now, I only stick the receiver to the inside of the case and don't have to worry about the plastic compartment in the actual track ball housing.
