These are not a single magnet, there appears to be something like 6 small magnets inside them. I thought this might mean they are weak but these have been very strong. These have been used to hold a flexible solar panel to the roof of a van when stationary. Even in a strong wind these magnets have kept the panel pinned to the roof. The panel is stored inside the van to the metal by the magnets and they have not moved at all while driving. The outer material is smooth and soft enough to not scratch the paintwork. Good quality magnets for a good price.

I stumbled across these magnetic mounts through my filmmaking work, and honestly, they've been a revelation. I use them mainly with my Amaran Ace lights, and the convenience factor is great. I can stick a light practically anywhere there's a magnetic surface and adjust it to whatever angle I need. No more messing about with clamps or stands in cramped spaces. The magnetic grip is genuinely strong too, and I've never had one slip or drop, even when I'm rushing around on set. What's surprised me is how useful they've become beyond just lighting. I've started using them for all sorts of quick equipment swaps, power banks, small tools etc Just snap on, snap off, job done. The build quality feels solid after months of regular use, and for what you pay, they're brilliant value.

These are good strong magnets , they’re not crazily strong but I think for most applications they would suffice. I bought them to attach a small solar panel that otherwise had a bracket with m6 bolts, 4 of these are holding it very well onto a metal roof. Obviously the strength is also down to what you put them onto as well. I stuck the spare ones on a fridge door and they’re very hard to remove. The rubber surround seems good at protecting any surface you stick them on. Overall no complaints, it’s a basic product, does what it needs to, they’re kind of a niche product probably with the m6 stud , I’d say that the magnet strength is probably good for anything that you could suitably use an m6 fixing for ie. You wouldn’t be putting a huge load onto an m6 fixing regardless of strength of magnet anyway.
