Great alarm
The product appears to function very well. It is very loud. It is very sensitive when it is armed. Maybe a little too sensitive. The reminder cord is definately too short to attach to the lock and the handlebars. It is listed as 5 ft in length, but at max stretch is only 4 ft. Overall, it is a good product for the price.

Absolutely a steal!
Amazing lock system for motorcycles!!I have a brand new dirt bike and I was nervous about someone stealing it as dirt bikes don't have keys so they are easy to get stolen. This is super easy to use and VERY loud and sensitive! I love it! And you can't beat $11 for what you get it's an absolutely a steal!I don't even have the orange handle thing on right now and it still works just as good.I will definitely buy more of these. The quality is like something that would be for a $30 disc lock. Now I will say like with any lock I'm sure it can be picked or broken but if a theft tries to tamper with it or even so much as touch it the sound will start going off and like I said it's loud!

Stops thieves!
I've had two electric scooters stolen despite being locked, so I thought I'd turn things up a notch by locking the brake. This lock is perfect for that because it's not nearly as easy as cutting through a regular chain or even U-lock, at least not without ruining the disc brake. What I didn't expect was for the alarm to be so effective! It's very loud and seems to let out an initial warning chirp if the scooter gets jostled. If it gets jostled again, it goes into full alarm mode. No, it won't stop determined thieves or organized bike/scooter theft rings, but I've gone some time now without another theft, and I would like to thank this lock for that. I imagine it must make casual thieves second guess whether they should waste their time considering the loud noise and not being able to make a quick getaway.By the way, in case you own a Gotrax GXL V2, that's the scooter I have and the lock does fit the disc brake. However, you might have to rotate the brake a bit by hand to find a hole for the lock to fit through. Not quite as easy as with a bike, but it's workable.

Alarm goes off at nothing
Still debating returning this product or not. The use and features of this lock are great. The alarm is plenty loud and the locking mechanism is easy to use. It does what I need it to do and the price is competitive to other locks on amazon. However, the alarm is extremely sensitive. A gust of wind and some leaves blowing around will set the alarm off--and not just the three little beep warning--the full alarm. Setting my gloves gently on the seat triggered the alarm. The alarm has gone off on multiple occasions with seemingly little to nothing touching it or the bike. It has made putting a cover on the bike virtually impossible because of how sensitive it is. Because I have been playing around with how much I can get away with without triggering the alarm, I've found that once you get the three warning beeps, the alarm will sound afterwards regardless of whether anything is still touching the bike or not. If I am in a parking garage and I don't care if the alarm goes off on nothing then this lock is perfect, but, parking in front of people's houses, having the alarm trigger at nothing is a huge inconvenience to me and my neighbors. It depends on where you live or where you are going to be riding/parking your bike. If a hypersensitive alarm works for you then I highly recommend this product. If you wanted a lock for long-term parking, then I wouldn't recommend it if you live in a residential area.I'm still trying to play around with how to make this work as I am kind of too lazy to shop around for a new disk lock. I saw in someone else's review that putting more tension on the cable makes it less sensitive, so I will be trying that next. I am also still trying to figure out how to get the lock to work with my bike cover, but I haven't been successful so far and doubt it's even possible without triggering the alarm every single time.
