I had often thought about buying an egg piercer but had made do with a succession of safety pins. What a waste of time that was !!This neat little item is perfect for placing a small hole in the end of an egg, to reduce the chances of it cracking in boiling water.I have to say that it does not eliminate the cracking altogether but it does work very well.It is also worth mentioning that it should brcleaned regularly, as the dust from the piercings tends to build up around the piercing pin, reducing its efficacy.A nice little product and good looking with it.

Yes dear hearts I am the kind of chap who has a special safety pin to pierce the bottom of his Eggs so they don't crack on introduction to Hot Water. Have done for 35 years LOL. It's been replaced by this. It's an indulgence, it's too expensive for what it is and it's a bit ridiculous - in short I love it and it works - Get One.

Works well. Dont be too heavy handed though or the egg will break. Used in conjunction with my electric egg cooker and I'm pleased. Pricey for what it is though

The simplest of kitchen products but does an important job very well. Looks good, works well, and results in far superior boiled eggs.

Having bought an egg cooker which came with a spike on the underside of the water measurer which turned out to be completely incapable of piercing the shell of an egg, this item came to my rescue.It's a well though-out spring-loaded design, so you leave it on the worktop and press the egg down onto it, which releases a proper metal spike. The spike is covered when not in use for safety.

A bit more expensive than many of the alternatives on Amazon, but nicely made, aesthetically pleasing and very effective.

A lovely, heavy, great-feeling egg piercer that looks great in your modern kitchen. It even pierces the eggs. Highly recommended!

Very clever little gadget. Place your egg on the centre and push down to pierce. So simple but when you see all the over complicated egg pierces around you appreciate one that is simple but that actually works. Great.

Construction parfaite, bonne qualité matériaux, démontable pour le nettoyage, pique parfaitement les œufs.

Los huevos al cocerlos se pueden romper. Y eso me da rabia. Quedan feos. El truco de pincharlos en la cámara de aire con un alfiler funciona muy bien, pero era complicado. Con este aparatito lo haces sin problemas y con total seguridad. Huevos cocidos perfectos y sin romperse.
