2-Stroke 3.6HP Outboard Motor, Heavy Duty Fishing Boat Engine with Half Air Cooling System, Gasoline Outboard Trolling Motor Gas Powered for Kayaks Canoes Dinghies Inflatable Boats

Motor arrived yesterday well packed and undamaged. I took off the propeller and added gear oil to the foot per some you tube videos I watched. I mixed some fuel in the little can that came with it. I used 1 bottle of 2 stroke Stihl oil I use in my weed eater and filled the rest of the can with gas. I assumed that would be a 30:1 mix that was recommended. Then, this morning I mounted it to my 12 ft aluminum Jon boat and headed to the lake. The motor pretty much started right up and ran pretty good if maybe a little choppy. I realize it needs breaking in, but I think it will be fine. After I run a few tanks of fuel thru it, I’m going to fill it with weed eater gas at 50:1 or whatever it is and see how that goes. It runs about twice as fast as my 30ft pound Minn Kota, so I’m pretty pleased and no longer have range anxiety wondering if my battery will last or not. I’ll hopefully post an update in a month or so to let everyone know how it turns out.Update: had a few difficulties starting it after four or five tanks of fuel but a new plug solved that and it runs good now on my weed eater gas. Not all that fast but it runs pretty decent if you don’t crank the throttle all the way over. I’m quite pleased with it. I can run it to the end of the lake and then switch to the trolling motor to fish.

The media could not be loaded. I wanted to buy a cheap 3.5 HP outboard for different reasons... I got a toy that is super noisy, with a high pitch of metal on metal friction, the smell of melting plastic (couldn't find the origin) and that has less power than a 2 HP outboard.Additionally, the toy is completely unreliable: stopped working twice during a 15 minutes ride and is already rusting everywhere it is not plastic!I finally found a way to return the engine for less than $50 and the seller has been great and refunded me the total amount I paid for it, including the shipping fee of $30 included in the original invoice... gave them an additional star for that.

First tank of gas I could only get 2 mph, 2nd tank I got up to 4 mph. This motor is perfect for my 2 man bass hound boat!

This is my first time buying an overboard engine.because I bought an inflatable boat a few days ago. Now I can take my inflatable boat and set off. I didn't know how to install it at first, but I contacted the store to teach me how to install and operate it patiently.

The media could not be loaded. I bought this 5 years ago for 200$ left it outside, starts up every year , never even replaced the spark plug.The people leaving bad reviews must not have put any gear oil in it or ran it on proper mix but at the price throw it away and get a new one at the end of the year and it would still be worth it.

I don't like to give product reviews, but this one is really great! Great thrust, plenty of power, no flaws, not too expensive, recommended!
