Good product.
Great taste and not loaded up with salt. I have tried a lot of beef jerky in my lifetime and this is one of the best. Do not freeze it but you can put it in the refrigerator to help preserve it. I cut mine up with scissors and eat it in small bits. There are no preservatives in this product which is why I like it.

Jerky Merican Style- True Beef
Let me tell you Johnny G don't eat bad jerky. Only Merican beef too. But in this case I will make an exception. The jerky is made with Merican Beef and made in the Good Ole USA. So they do add some beef from Aussie land and New Zealand which are allies of Uncle Sam. Now there is another beef in the pack from Uruguay. They are American and they now produce the best beef in the World. Argentina has lost there standing as free grazers, grass fed, and no hormones. So my little southern brothers are making some good beef. Argentina still has the name but Uruguay totes the note. Comphrenday Amigo. So if you want to grow up to big an strong like a good red neck eat yer jerky.

Best Jerky ever! This is consistently the best tasting jerky.
I have tried a lot and never found any that compare. The taste, the chewiness without being too soft or too had make it very satisfying to snack on, or even sub for a small meal. Also the quantity you get in two bags at a time, is excellent, needs to be tried for sure.

Good quality, good taste, price could be better
The Pacific Gold jerky is much better in terms of taste and quality than the cheaper bulk packages available on Amazon and elsewhere. The cheaper brands make heavy use of MSG, preservatives, and spices. The result is like having a chewy, spicy, chemistry lab in your mouth. Pacific Gold tries to balance cost and quality and does a pretty good job of it. The packages I bought state that the jerky is made of beef that comes from one or more of five countries: U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Uruguay. The Pacific Gold label says there is no "added" MSG, but it does not say there is no MSG. The Pacific Gold flavor is credible -- you can taste beef (and like it) as well as brown sugar and hickory flavoring and there is no distracting chemical taste. The only product I have found so far on Amazon that is in a similar quality/price bracket is Golden Valley's non-organic line. Golden Valley is a little less expensive than Pacific Gold, especially if you subscribe. The last time I read Golden Valley's package it stated that the jerky was made of U.S. beef raised without hormones. Golden Valley recently raised the price of the product I like substantially, but even after the price increase it is competive in its quality bracket.

Great
Soft, tasty, not salty. I’m very picky about my jerky. I’ve tried a lot of brands. This is a very good value. The price is very fair considering it’s tender grass fed and not over salted. The flavor is good too.

YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR
The absolutely worst jerky ever tried. Flavorless, gross pieces of dried animal hide....very poor quality. Couldn't eat it tasted bad.

Will buy again!
If you like beef jerky that is not hard to chew you will love this. This is a softer, not mushy jerky with somewhat sweet and smoky flavor. It's very good and this is coming from someone that has never liked jerky. Most are hard to chew but this stuff isn't. Wonderful product, will buy again.

Not as good
I used to buy these at Costco and I remember it being fresh and tasty. Maybe I got an old bag or my taste buds have changed but his beef jerky seemed very hard and not as flavorful as before. I recall this brand having nice soft jerky but half the bag I ended up throwing away because I was breaking my teeth on it. There were a few pieces in there that met my expectations but for the most part it was a waste of money.
